Gas Prices Continue To Drop... Perhaps Another 50 Cents In Time For the Presidential Election...

The presidential election is just around the corner. As is to be expected there will be market manipulation to help the incumbent's reelection bid as well as media bias all around in the hopes of influencing the outcome of the election in the preferred direction.



I must say I'll certainly continue to welcome the relief at the pump. All the while knowing my vote goes independent of the prices at the pump as well as realizing prices WILL begin to rise again following the election. Just like most people do methinks...

    I find it hard to believe the gas biz is rigging prices to support Obama, especially in light of the all-out media blitz against him. My bet would be that if we see manipulation, it will be in October, as prices rise again after the summer and the refiners decide that's the time for annual "maintenance."

      It's election time around the corner, family vacation time and camping etc. for the summer.

    hurricanes floods talking about iran fidel castro maintence refineries closing I need more excuses why prices go up and down for gas, we don't believe it , there's just nothing we can do, we are all a bunch of idiots

I admit it... there are many philosophical, governmental, business, and ethical issues on which the POTUS and me would strongly disagree. I would be being less than honest if I claimed I didn't wish the POTUS were a different individual. Ron Paul - Republican Presidential Candidate I read with great interest Ron Paul's recent statements in Iowa with respect to the 911 attacks on America by Islamic extremists and their primary motivation. Nowhere in candidate Paul's statement did I see where he justified the attacks that resulted in the death of 3,000 plus Americans. What I did read was a rational analysis of what motivated the attackers and why they were so motivated. Call it thinking outside the confines of a restricted and often myopic view of reality. In other words Paul is saying first seek to understand the motivations of a dangerous extremist group and then seek to effect ways to change their reality. IE: Perception. After 10 years on Blogger it is time to say goodbye. It’s been an interesting up and down run, one that has been both fun and frustrating. In fact with so many ill-informed and hyper partisan folks out there it has even been maddening from time to time. I know our American politics have always been somewhat lively and partisan, but, I honestly don’t recall any time in my adult life that they have been as divided and nasty as they are right now. Trump is responsible for the extended shutdown, and, there is no end in sight. The president, on national tee vee , stated he would be proud to shut down the government and that he wouldn't blame Schumer and the democrats. Trump is playing to his base in what is nothing more than a cynical power play. As the shutdown drags on with no end in sight, and Americans in increasing numbers are directly impacted by Trump's shutdown decision, the heat on the president and his party will undoubtedly increase. Or, Trump could exercise his self described superior deal making acumen (something only Trump himself believes) and get back to the negotiating table and hammer out a win-win with the democrats. But his infantile stubbornness and disregard for the American people will prevent him from doing this.
