Executive Orders - Presidential Power
President Obama, having seen his agenda stalled on several fronts, is planning to use presidential executive orders to move his agenda along. Having lost the dema-socialist super majority in the Senate with the election of Senator Brown from Massachusetts, he apparently views exercising these powers as necessary and proper. Before for continuing I think it only fair to acknowledge the use of presidential executive orders has been a practice of prior administrations, both democratic and republican. The criticism in this article will focus on the current occupant of the White House specifically. However, in general, it is critical of prior administrations as well. Indeed the entire concept of the use of executive orders to circumvent congress exercising its rightful power to legislate.
