Senator John McCain, the liberal republican, has come out saying Sarah Palin is a sound possible contender for the 2012 Republican Party nomination. John McCain who is no conservative, nor any longer a maverick, at least  recognizes Sarah Palin is a viable cadidate and perhaps the proper candidate to carry  the mantle of maverick as the party regroups. Sarah Palin is a relative neophyte to the national scene. She is however, not a neophyte to conservative thought or the values of individualism, free enterprise, self reliance, and love of country. The progressive (read socialist/statist) main stream media recognizing her sound message, as well as her ability to destroy their milk toast arguments did everything they could in 2009 to destroy her reputation. Thankfully in this they failed. Whether Sarah Palin will be ready for 2012 remains to be seen. She is certainly smart enough, and if she decides to run will come to us understanding ...

Senator John McCain, the maverick of the Republican Party in his early days, has proclaimed his desire to remake his party. Having ran perhaps the most inept campaign for president since Michael Dukakis one can only wonder what may be in store for the Party of Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. McCain, who wants to remake the party  in the center right mold, has proven himself to be more center with a bit of left tilt. He was ineffective during his campaign largely because he failed to clearly enunciate conservative and libertarian common sense ideals. Because McCain failed to to present a focused vision for America he was unable to inspire trust in the majority of Americans. Losing the socialist/statist crowd  was a forgone conclusion.
