So many of them have drank so much GD Kool-Aid from the reactionary righties of the Tea Party strain in the GOP they simply have lost the ability to think critically or even carry on a semi intelligent conversation. While thinking about the GOP kick-off debate tonight on FOX News, as well looking forward to what we believe will be a fine 1 1/2 hours of comedy, perusing extreme rightwing Tea party sites seemed in order. It didn't take long to find a site and do the planed set-up. Getting the rut travelers on this particular weblog to go on a rant takes very little. A few well placed short sentences will do the job. Rational Nation U S A Purveyor of Truth There was a time, 27 years past and beyond when being a conservative was meaningful and one could proudly claim he or she was a conservative. Conservatives held a clear set of principles, namely fiscal responsibility, limited yet effective government, they understood that as society and circumstances changed compromise was necessary to maintain a functioning government that leading a nation of 300 plus million is far more challenging than leading a nation of 6 million. Today the intellectuals of the early conservative movement have been replaced by the Limbaugh, Levin, Hannity, Ingram, Beck, O'Reilly, Coulter, Fox News. et all types and substance and truth is now trumped by innuendo, fabrication, and appearances .
