He was an inept president and he should, at least for the most part stick to what he does best. Humanitarian issues and his Habitat for Humanity. Having said the foregoing I must acknowledge when the man is right he is right. His recent remarks on the on religion, most specifically the position of the Catholic Church, the Southern Baptist Convention, and Islam with respect to for equality of women is, IMNHO, spot on. Of course there will continue to be those on the far right that will choose to take Carter's remarks out of context and twist them for political purposes. Fortunately there are more people who can think than there are those who can't.
