One Can Only Question...

Image
Rational Nation U S A Purveyor of Truth Bizarre. Can someone check on Glenn Beck? Is everything alright , buddy? To make some vaguely anti-Donald Trump point, the conservative pundit rounded up some friends to completely and utterly humiliate themselves in front of the whole internet on Friday. While donning swim goggles, Beck wondered aloud whether "If you stuck your face in Cheetos, you would look like Donald Trump in the end." via GIPHY MORE Via: Memeorandum

Glenn Beck.... Is He Soon to Become Irrelevant?

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism Forgive me  AP for the copy and paste of the above Beck IMAGE. However, Rational Nation USA is thinking it is a fair representation of the following commentary. And since Mr. Beck is a public figure anyway should not all photo shots of his smiling face be public property anyway? At least that is how I, the father of , Independent Conservatism has always perceived the main {lame} stream media to view public property. you all know, in the collective sense, right? It is indeed unfortunate that the man who wrote the modern version of  "Common Sense", and who drew me to his sound principles and arguments against statism, has slipped so far to the theatrical side of the media business. While I in fact find myself in agreement with some of his premises with respect to the dangers of Islamic Jihad-ism, Der ...

Glenn Beck Doubles Up

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism The liberal blogoshere will no doubt play the following audio of Beck in hopes of gaining all the politically motivated biased capital they feel they can muster from it. I, the independent conservative on the other hand, reproduce it here without conservative commentary, preferring to let Beck's words speak for themselves. For those who want to read liberal commentary you may find plentiful examples on the net. Audio: Cross posted to the Left Coast Rebel Discussions @ Memeorandum

Beck Under Fire

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism Glenn Beck is under rhetorical "fire" {how's that for PC?} from the left. This is of course common fare as he -- being a staunch conservative advocate of our founding principals and the Constitution as written -- is anathema to the most liberal element of our society. Note I did not say all liberals. There are liberal that while disagreeing with his views do not see him as the "devil in disguise" as some liberals do. Beck is certainly opinionated. Who isn't? In fact some of the most opinionated personalities can be found on the left. As stated in recent posts at Rational Nation USA , expressing one's opinion respectfully should be welcomed and encouraged. I do not always agree with Beck. In fact I seldom watch his show as I am usually occupied with other more important activities at that hour. However, I have had the opportunity to catch a few of his shows recently I ...

Restoring Honor Rally: Faith, Hope & Charity

Image
by: Pamela D. Hart I attended Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally Saturday. My decision to attend wasn’t planned. As a matter of fact it was completely spur of the moment. My dad called me Friday afternoon, when I was at work, and asked if I would be interested in going with him and my mom, thus with my answer being affirmative, he told me to be ready at 3:30 a.m. We arrived at the Lincoln Memorial at 11 a.m. with the rally already in full swing. The crowd was immense. People were sitting between the columns, on the steps and walking around it. They were packed full on both sides of the Reflection Pond and beyond. The aerial view photos are a bit distorting because you can’t see all the people who were beneath the Cherry Blossom trees. I know because I walked the cement pathway from the Lincoln Memorial to the WWII Memorial, which was tree-covered and it too was packed full with people sitting on chairs, blankets, the grass or just standing. We found a nice shady spot on the Atlantic si...

Beck While Not Smearing Malia Obama Was Infantile

Image
By: Les Carpenter III Rational Nation USA Glenn Beck, conservative television and radio show host,  showed his lack of sensitivity when he used President Obama's daughter Malia as a prop (if you will) to jab the president over the BP oil spill. It is all good and well to be critical of this president for his performance or lack thereof with respect to this issue. It is fine to hit the president hard if one wishes. Even James Carville, one of the lefts biggest loudmouths trashed the president on public TV for his handling of the disaster. Perhaps, as some are saying the disaster in the gulf may very well be Obama's Katrina. If it becomes a political liability it can be argued that it is deserved. However, this is not the point of this post and I have digressed. Beck was wrong, flat wrong in using Malia to make fun of the President. The President's children, should be off limits period. The use of children in any way shape or form to make a politica...

Glenn Beck Liberty University Commencement Address

By: Les Carpenter III Rational Nation USA As I listen to Glenn Beck, a man I have differences with from time to time, I see a man who is sincere and truly humbled by the honor bestowed upon him this day. A man self educated beyond a single course in college who believes that information and knowledge... ALL INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE...  should be considered. And here is wht the liberal vermin in the media has to say ... The Lynchburg News & Advance describes the spectacle as so: Beck received an honorary degree from Liberty. He never graduated from college but spent one semester at Yale University when he was 30, he said, leaving because he could not afford the tuition. Beck, who is Mormon, delivered a speech that emphasized the power of faith in righting a country that he said has gone off track.“I look at the things that are facing you today: the worst economy in generations, the euro on the road to collapse, we’re spending our...

Will This Go Away?

Massachusetts Senator Elect, on his victory night, managed to at the very least embarrass his daughters. Something I surely would not have said even in jest about my own daughter. His remarks. In Brown's attempt at humor he went dicey and overboard. As a result he set himself up for the following from Glenn Beck. Brown's comment was ill advised, could potentially have politically damaging fallout, and should not have been made. It is perfectly valid that he be brought to task for his remarks that were no doubt said in jest. He perhaps should give up humor. The question is which of these remarks was the most egregious? I leave it to you, my reader to decide. Via: Memeorandum Via: Mediaite
