by Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Senate Candidate Christine O'Donnell is, in my independent conservative judgement, somewhat of a wingnut that is very likely undeserving of a seat in the United States Senate. Having said this I freely admit she was right in 20026 when she declared China was a threat to the US economy. For supporting evidence of her assertion I direct you to "Three Billion New Capitalists" as a reference point. Her assertion that China is plotting to take over the American economy sounds like something out of a George Orwell novel. However, the reality is China, India, Brazil, and other growing economies will eventually overtake the USA in the global marketplace unless as a nation we come to understand the threat, as well as the reasons we are faced with the current reality. By: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA What a distraction Christine O'Donnell has turned out to be. The conservatives desire to field a candidate (anybody) that would stand against the status quo in Delaware resulted in giving the nod to a Republican loose cannon that likely has no bearings and hasn't a clue as to what Delaware or this nation needs. As I live in another very liberal state (Massachusetts)I can appreciate the desire of the moderates and conservatives to put the brakes on the Reid, Pelosi, Obama agenda. However, to put up such a lightweight with no credentials such as as O'Donnell simply defies logic. But as I said I do not live in Delaware. Either we are for principle or we are against principle. In the case of Christine O'Donnell I simply ask ... Where is the principle? And what is the principle she stands by? Perhaps these are tough questions. But shouldn't the Republican voters of Delaware be asking these questions? Perhaps they did Via...

Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Can't seem to get into all the primary election hoopla. Hear a lot of rhetorical feel good talking points without a lot of specifics. As usual   there seems to a bit of ethical fortitude lacking in some candidates, aka Christine O'Donnell. Certainly not something the conservative Tea Party needs. Nor should they want a candidate that has the  baggage O'Donnell  is carrying . Perhaps I am being unfair. As an "independent" conservative I simply am skeptical  of her credentials to lead. I believe a candidate needs to display consistent ethical behavior. In this realm I fear O'Donnell is lacking. I could be wrong but where there is smoke there usually is fire.  Regardless whether a conservative or a progressive first "smells" the smoke the action needed is to put out the fire..
