The Mistake of Multiculturalism

Ism is defined as " a distinctive doctrine, cause, or theory." Multiculturalism can then be described, with reference to nations, as a society in which several, or many, distinct cultures coexist each living by the distinctive differences that set then apart from the other cultures that make up in the nation in which they live. Rather than assimilating into a national culture that broadly identifies a nation and its people {prime example would be the United States of Almeria in the late 1800's and early 1900's} multiculturalism encourages "tolerance" of all cultural behaviors. The result being cultures such as Islamic gain hold and eventually begin demanding the rest of the society accepts their beliefs, doctrines, theories, and causes.
