Sarah Palin's Plan to Help The Donald...

Image
Rational Nation U S A Purveyor of Truth Mary Altaffer / AP Sarah Palin is back at doing what she does best, spreading nonsense and freely tossing out the "red meat" that the tea party faithful loves to digest. Of course their curiosity and desire for the truth died long ago and that is precisely what billionaire Donald Trump is counting on. And, unfortunately, he is right, they will gobble it up; which of course is why he has Sarah on the campaign trail stumping for him. Irony and humor is thick in the tea party and GOP these days. In endorsing Donald Trump, Sarah Palin faced a challenge. How does a woman who has built her brand on hating cultural elites endorse a billionaire, Manhattan TV star? Her answer: by turning Trump into a victim. She began by reasserting her own victimhood. When considering endorsing Trump, Palin said she was “told left and right, ‘you are going to get so clobbered in the press. You are just going to get beat up, and chewed up, and ...

Conservatives and the Palin Distraction/Problem...

Rational Nation USA Purveyor of Truth Just when you thought Sarah Palin couldn't out do her prior ramblings she steps up, tees off, and has just about everyone wondering just what the hell her purpose was. If the GOP has any sense the leadership will figure out how to shut her up. Should Palin decide to mount a campaign one can imagine it will be very difficult for her to find serious donors that would be willing and foolish enough to throw good money after bad supporting a dim light candidate. DES MOINES — As a chance to evaluate possible 2016 Republican presidential candidates, the Freedom Summit here in Des Moines was a solid success. Several potential candidates — Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, and a few others — left the 10-hour political marathon with their prospects undeniably enhanced. All that was good news for Republicans. But at the same time, more than a few GOP loyalists came away shaking their heads at the performance of a party star, former vice pres...

S. Palin Calls for Obama's Impeachment...

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Purveyor of Truth It is now beyond any doubt. Alaska's half term governor and failed 2008 Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is certifiable. Lost her marbles. Flew over the cuckoos nest. With her Mama Mouse intellect and an American flag waving she has declared it is time to impeach President Obama. No doubt Palin's fellow travelers in the ozone layer of politics are as gleeful of the thought of impeaching America's first bi-racial president as she is. The women who can "see Russia from her porch", and likely knows less about the constitution than the moose she shares Alaska with, penned a letter calling for the President's impeachment. It was published in Breitbart . Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Discrediting the price paid for Am...

Sarah Palin, Comedic Relief...

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Purveyor of Truth POLITICO - Sarah Palin slammed Sen. Thad Cochran, who won his Mississippi primary last night, for possible “shenanigans” such as courting Democrat votes and his moderate policies. “Well, you know, as for the primary, and perhaps if it’s true, some shenanigans going on there, nothing should surprise you, but that’s old-school politics where it’s a bit of the status quo and that’s got to go,” Palin said Tuesday of Cochran’s Democrat outreach on Fox News’ “Hannity,” ahead of the Republican senator being declared the primary winner over Chris McDaniel. Well Sarah, looks like you're a bit miffed because you backed the candidate that didn't win the "R"primary. Really gal, what does it matter? McDaniel would have lost the general anyway. Who knows, just maybe Cochran can keep the seat in republican hands just a bit longer. Palin, who had endorsed McDaniel, further ripped Cochran as someone “promising bigger g...

Sarah Palin to Newt Gingrich's Defense

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -vs- Tyranny Sarah and Newt... The Odd Couple or a Perfect Team? It has been a tough week. Of course they are all challenging, to one degree or another. However, for me this one has been grueling, having with it the requirement to change shifts early in the week and then back to my "normal" shift later in the week. So, you may ask, what's the header of this post have to do with work? Well, absolutely nothing. Actually I am so GD tired I had planned on going to bed after I ate the fine dinner my wife had made before sending off to work. Told you it's been a tough week. Anyway, I made the mistake of turning on my computer while I was waiting for my dinner to warm up. While browsing the highlights and the low lights of the news I just happened to come across the article in POLITICO about Sarah Palin being Newtie's secret weapon. It was just enough to wake me up. Of course everyone who has visited this site ...

The "Palin Take"

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism Liberty -v s- Tyranny It's late, and having just arrived home from work there isn't time to fully analyze the following video before hitting the sack for some much needed sleep. However, after listening to Greta Van Susteren's interview with Sarah Palin my impression was favorable and Sarah made some good points. Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com Somebody ought to run a nationwide poll in the attempt to define who makes up the 19% who are satisfied with the government. The results would be quite interesting, and perhaps not exacty what one might expect. Good night all. Read the preliminary transcripts here . Via: Memeorandum

When You're Right Your're Right!

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism Rational Nation USA is not a supporter of a Palin run for the presidency, often taking heat from the Palinistas. With respect to the forgoing video clip all that need be said is SPOT ON! Continue to spread the message of liberty and fiscal responsibility Sarah, and get behind a true libertarian/conservative candidate that can drive national debate in the direction it so desperately needs to go. From the Least Likely Sources

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism Several months after the Federal Reserve initiated it's experiment to spur economic recovery by buying large quantities of federal debt The New York Times is reporting most economist now view the effort as disappointing. But most Americans are not feeling the difference, in part because those benefits have been surprisingly small. The latest estimates from economists, in fact, suggest that the pace of recovery from the global financial crisis has flagged since November, when the Fed started buying $600 billion in Treasury securities to push private dollars into investments that create jobs. As the Fed’s policy-making board prepares to meet Tuesday and Wednesday — after which the Fed chairman, Ben S. Bernanke, will hold a news conference for the first time to explain its decisions to the public — a broad range of economists say that the disappointing results show the limits of the central bank’s ...

Rational Nation Rethinking Sarah Palin... and Her Value in Today's Political Realities

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism I still question whether Sarah Palin has what it takes to be President of the United States now or anytime in the near future. Having said this I freely admit to perhaps being wrong. She certainly isn't the brightest that ever had aspirations for the top job in our republic, but she certainly isn't the dumbest either. One thing is for sure, she is a Patriot and she does love her country and the heritage that is America's. Okay, putting what some will consider hyperbole aside, I have rethought the value Sarah Palin brings to the political rough and tumble of two party politics. She definitely has strong opinion, she definitely has the ability to stoke conservative passions and mobilize the Tea Party, she without a doubt challenges the status quo of RINO republican kiss a* politics, and she is definitely an individual and as strong a feminist as we have seen in a long time. All of the above ...

Palin Appoints Chief of Staff for Sarah PAC

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conseratism It's looking more and more as if the half term Governor from Alaska is priming for a 2012 Presidential run. This is not good news to those of us who actually want to see a person with conservtive bona fides and real gravitas in the white house.Sarah Palin is, in this writers opinion lacking in both. I find it quite interesting that she turned to an old guard Republican operative {read RINO}in her choice to fill the chief of staff position on her political action committee, Sarah PAC. Michael Glassner, who served as a longtime adviser to Robert Dole has agreed to sign on to run Palin's political operation and possible bid for the presidency in 2010. From CNN : Sarah Palin has added a veteran Republican strategist to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee, Sarah PAC, CNN has learned. Michael Glassner, an attorney and longtime adviser to former Kansas senator and president...
