If Ron Paul Ultimately Drops Out...

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty - vs- Tyranny Having spent all of my adult life in the business sector in positions from staff advisory, to executive management I can attest to the validity the following article. The article is about how the RNC should handle Ron Paul on that fateful day when he can no longer continue on the campaign trail. Viewed from a proper business perspective the articles premise is spot on. While it is without a doubt Ron Paul is the most intelligent and qualified candidate in the 2012 GOP field, it is also becoming clear the forces arrayed against his brand of common sense and liberty are too great to overcome. The GOP statist power base is just too powerful. Combined with a media that basically ignores Ron Paul the hurdle to overcome is just too high. How to handle a likely Paul exit is the meat of the article. Reuters - ... Paul is not really the GOP’s problem. It’s his followers, perhaps as much as 15 percent of the general ele...

Ron Paul... A Real Conservative

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Libe rty -vs- Tyra nny Ron Paul is the only candidate who will consistently remain true to fiscal conservative principals, libertarian social values, and the constitution. He has been doing so for over a quarter of a century. America's troops overwhelmingly support Ron Paul. And... He can beat Obama Excerpt from The Economist ... ... For conventionally right-wing party stalwarts like Mr Erickson, Ron Paul doesn't count as real Republican, because of his principled anti-war stance. Of course, that makes him a more authentic representative of smaller government, war being the health of the state and all, but that's beside the point. The conservative tribe professes faith in smaller government, and it is membership in the tribe that determines the authenticity of one's devotion to the tribe's catechism. Ron Paul isn't really a member of the tribe, so he cannot "authentically represent smaller government...

Ron Paul Gets Time With Jay Leno... Better Than Lame GOP Debates

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -v s- Tyranny The MSM HAS for certain refused to give Representative Ron Paul the time he is richly deserving of. Jay Leno apparently doesn't carry water for the MSM, aka LSM. Presidential? What say you? Via: Memorandum

Chris Wallace Trips, Stumbles, and Falls... Well, Shows His Biased Hand At the Very Least

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -v s- Tyranny Chris Wallace, someone whom heretofore maintained credibility has just stumbled. In Mr. Wallace's view should Ron Paul, the only real conservative {libertarian} in the race win the Iowa caucuses it will discredit the caucus. Why? Because "most of the establishment republicans" don't believe he will end up the nominee. Big mistake Chris. Especially as you are a moderator at the upcoming debate. Is it possible Mr. Wallace just telegraphed his "establishment republican" preference? The reality is the American people are waking up to the honest and straight forward truths that are inherent in conservative constitutional governance and consistent Libertarian principles that respect the individual constitutional rights of all Americans. The Wallace comment : Maybe it's just me but when the heartland of America is beginning to understand all that is at stake, and speaking their views, ...

Patience, Perseverance, Tennacity, and a Strong Consistent Message of Liberty... Ingredients for Success

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -v s- Tyranny Brent Budowsky of THE HILL'S pundit blog is making the points Ron Paul supporters have known to be true for a very long time. His analysis of the current republican political environment is sound and essentially parallels those who are closely following The Paul campaign. Perhaps as more people elevate Paul to the level of respect and exposure he rightly deserves the MSM {really taking about the LSM here}give him the air time he has earned. Ron Paul is without question the most intelligent candidate in the republican field, he is the most conservative {to recognize this of course requires one understand what true conservationism really means}, he is the only consistent candidate, never straying from his principles or the constitution, and he is the the grown up candidate in the room. Enough of my pitching, here's what Brent has to say... For many months I have tried to be fair and ahead of my colleagues in...

Ron Paul Quietly Gaining Ground... Focuses on Newt

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -v s- Tyranny While the MSM, and conventional GOP punditry has the Republican race for the party's presidential nomination a two way heat, long shot Texas representative Ron Paul is quietly and steadily gaining ground. The Libertarian leaning congressman has maintained a consistency and adhered to his principles like no other candidate in the race. His advocacy of proper and sound constitutional government and reigning in the MIC (military industrial complex) is resonating with liberty minded individuals across America. ( ABC News ) While portions of the national press corps have declared the GOP primary a two-man race between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, the tenacious Texas Congressman on his third run for the White House, is quietly picking up speed. The libertarian leaning Texas Congressman is buoyed by strong poll numbers. In the latest ABC News/ Washington Post poll, Paul is polling in the top three in both...

Ron Paul... Equals Real Non-Establisment Change

by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -v s- Tyranny With Herman Cain out of the race the question now becomes, whom will his supporters coalesce to? As Cain was a bit of a maverick, ie: non establishment GOP, it seems Ron Paul is a natural transition for Cain supporters. The Hill - Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said Sunday he hoped voters attracted to Herman Cain's "independent mindedness" would take a second look at his presidential campaign with Cain now out of the race. "We’re paying a lot of attention of that, because obviously they’re going to go somewhere," he said on CNN's "State of the Union." "I’m optimistic that we’ll pick up some votes from there." Cain suspended his campaign Saturday, blaming allegations of multiple sexual improprieties as a distraction to the race and harmful to his family. Paul struck a generally optimistic tone about his chances in the campaign, saying that his message resonates with a key bl...

Ron Paul Would Run Competively Against Obama

Image
by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Birthplace of Independent Conservatism Liberty -vs- Tyranny Ron Paul, arguably one of the most knowledgeable congressman when it comes to a proper understanding of the constitution, potentially could unseat Obama in 2012. Rasmussen Reports: Congressman Ron Paul may be a long shot to win the Republican presidential nomination, but he runs competitively with President Obama right now. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Paul picking up 37% of the vote, while the president earns 41%. The Texas congressman joins Mitt Romney, Michelle Bachmann, and Rick Perry as candidates within hailing distance of the president at this time. Rudy Giuliani is another potential candidate who is considered a long shot for the nomination but is competitive with the president. The former mayor of New York City trails Obama by five, 44% to 39%. But the real story in the numbers is that the president continues to earn...
