Natural rights. A concept from the Age of Enlightenment. One of the conceptual pillars upon which this nation was built. We have slowly watched as our natural rights are being ever infringed upon. The following series is well worth the time spent watching. And considering.











Food for thought. To quote Benjamin Franklin, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."

    I think one of the greatest tragedies of 9-11 is the freedoms we gave up after.

The Losing of Iraq...

Bush made it's decision to invade Iraq ( using questionable justification it helped set up the scenario we see unfolding today. Ultimately the decision destabilized the region further, created more anti American sentiment in the region, and set up Iraq for civil strife and internal political instability. All for a cost of billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars, loss of American life, and loss of Iraqi life. Frankly given the crop of malcontents and loonies(Christie doesn't fall into that group but he has shot himself in the big toe) that seem to be getting attention in the GOP it appears unlikely.
