Rush To Leave The U.S.A. If ObamaCare Passes

Mr. Rush Limbaugh, the giant of conservative talk radio... correction, the giant of  Republican talk radio has just put his money where his mouth is with respect to health care (read insurance) reform. Rush, one of the more vociferous opponents (rightly so) of ObamaCare has stated publicly that if enacted into law with in five years he will  leaving the country. He will go to Costa Rico. Really?

Whether he actually means it or not... anybodies guess is as good as anybody else's. The  progressive left is having a ball with this, as to be expected. But Rush is correct that ObamaCare is likely  to lead to a less effective health care and medical system in the United States. But the Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Emanuel, and the entire progressive team of statists are more concerned with their legacy than with actually accomplishing meaningful and effective reform.

The group driving this bill has their eye on the crown jewel of cradle to grave socialism... nationalized healthcare. Rather than considering any market based options, tort reform, or increasing competition across state lines by allowing insures to compete against each other nationwide they have decided to force ObamaCare down the throats of the American people. Even given that the public has clearly sent the message they are opposed to it in majority.

  1. i'm glad you are now distinguishing the difference between health care and health care insurance. this is a very important distinction on this issue. when we finally can make that distinction we will finally have an honest debate on the issue of health care reform.

  3. Why would Rush move to a country that is rated number fifty-four on Heritage Foundation's 2010 Index of Economic Freedom? Seems I heard him once say he would move to New Zealand if this mess is imposed upon America. NZ makes makes sense if he is going to defect, seeing that their economic rating is number four. We are rated number eight... and plummeting.

  4. William - perhaps he made the remark to... make a point with respect to the potential effects on the nation with ObamaCare.

and we are indeed plummeting.. soon we are likely to be in free fall.

  5. @Griper,

That is a good point of order. I do find myself referring to it as that damn "Health Care" fiasco, buuuuut, you are right in saying we should refer to it in the framework of Health Care Insurance.

Nicely done, and I will now do my best to adopt this concept into my writings and everyday vernacular.
