The Presidential Lies

As I sit and listen to the President expound on his vaunted national health care reform plan (as viewed by none other than himself) I find myself getting nauseous and lightheaded. Nauseous because of the lack of specifics and out right lies (here) this man speaks. Lightheaded because it is rare to see such a lightweight at the pinnacle of American governmental power. He speaks of so called "fear tactics" used by rational conservatives and yet he singles out individual examples of a few unfortunate circumstances and attempts to imply that these examples are more common than not. Much of what he said was meat to evade the specifics of the bill or were outright distortions. More here . The President claims the bill will be deficit neutral. This claim is an outright lie. All projections point to increasing annual budget deficits and corresponding increase in the national debt (here) . The President left m...

It's Time For Congressional Term Limits

As the Labor Day Festa's and family picnics came to a close I found myself thinking to the future. The future of America. A dismaying thought crossed my mind. The idea we are locked in a fierce political battle at this moment in our history. A political battle that if lost will change our country forever. President Barrack Hussein Obama is living up to his promise. To radically change the face of the United States of America. While America was hungry for change after 8 years of the Bush - Cheney Administration it is becoming clear that the scope of this President's change is not what the American people expected or wanted. There are signs the influence of conservatives to moderates are having an impact on the Administration and causing it to rethink it's strategy. Conservative and Libertarian bloggers are adding much to the debate and the politicians are being forced to take note. All this is positive and shou...

Some Relavant Ronald Reagan Clips

Enjoy these! Ronald Reagan was a real leader and an inspiration. A true Patriot with an unbending ethical and moral fiber lacking in most of todays so called leaders. Will America ever again be so fortunate as to have a man of President Reagan's character and stature in the oval office. I hope so, but at times I wonder.

American Workforce - 2'nd to None

Labor Day 2009 and  this proponent of free market capitalism wants to thank every laborer and technician for keeping the engines of  production running smoothly and efficiently. Were it not for the creative and productive capacity if of the American workforce we would not have achieved the the economic, and social preeminence we have enjoyed as a nation for over 200 years. The video below, President Obama's Labor Day address to the American people sounds rational and reasonable. If one listens only to the rhetoric it could be considered  a positive and almost uplifting address. However, if one listens closely to the President's words it becomes clear he is talking about further government control and influence over the private and business sector. Federal Government regulation of  the business sector has negative results. Regulations on business has lead to...

Mr President, No Time for Politics

What did the President just say? It sounds like he is fine with discussion as long as it falls in line with HIS agenda. The President always in campaign mode and never really listening. Except perhaps to those who prop up his ego. What the President is really saying is we don't have time for politics or discussion that differs with his socialist/statist ideology. Power, Money, and Corruption

I ran across this video this morning while perusing You Tube. The premise is really quite simple but I believe it is a powerful and accurate explanation of our system. Unless something changes in this nation (hopefully Obama Gone in 2012) and we become a multiple party country not much will change. It really wont matter who is in power. Not only do we need to vote out the current occupants of  Congress the Senate, and  the Chief Executive during the 2010 and 2012 national elections we must establish competing political parties that are allowed a real oppurtunity to serve at the national level. Money, and the corrupting influence of special interests must be removed from the political equation. Les Carpenter III Rational Nation USA

The War In Afghanistan

It appears the Obama Administration has found the right war. As the United States properly begins a draw down of  troops, and a diminished role in Iraq, the President is increasing the number of troops in Afghanistan. He is doing so without providing a rational justification and certainly he has not established clear objectives. After 911 the United States was, in most Americans eyes, justified pursuing military action in Afghanistan. The mission, to root out Osama Bib Laden and crush the terrorist organization responsible for the unprovoked deaths of over 3,000 Americans. A clear justification and a clear mission. After spending billions on the effort we managed to subdue the terrorist organization, and  capture some of it's top leaders, but still the prime target is free. We pushed the Taliban into hiding,  manged to put into place a corrupt and inept government, and then along came the Iraq opportunit...

Can we Keep our Republic?

Limited Government, one of the principals on which our nation was founded. The battle waging today in our land is for nothing less than to insure we retain this ideal for future generations of Americans.  I turn to a speech by President Reagan, made over 20 years ago to remind us all. Michal Savage at his best.  Doctor Savage touches on most of the issues that freedom loving Americans are concerned with. At least those who understand the concept of liberty in it's fullness.                                                          Keep the faith. For if we remain vigilant we as a people will remain secure in the liberties granted in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. However, we must remain active, energized, and push back at the Obama Administation as if our very l...
