The Inconsistencies and Hypocrisy...

Okay, call me confused, or whatever the F anyone would like to characterize me. It really doesn't matter. You see, the the right is full of sh*t and the left is even more full of sh*t.. To which I have determined to say... SO WHAT.
It's a game people. And the name of the game is who who will gain the upper hand and ultimately have control of the people. It is sickening, it is unethical, it is immoral, it is life sapping, it is irrational, and it is contrary to the principals this nation was founded on.
To which the MODERN day democratic party, as well as the republican party respond by saying... So What? Both parties feel they must force acceptance of their statist anti individual and anti liberty agendas on the people.
What is interesting, putting all the hyperbole aside is this... Our country will continue to accept the same old BS from both parties, IE: the blind, deaf, and dumb leading the same.
Wake up people, shake the cobwebs from your weary heads. The power structure of both parties really couldn't give a proverbial sh*t less about your concerns. Remember... It's all about power and control.
The following article from The Hill galvanized and motivated this post.
You be the judge my fine readership. However, it is my humble opinion that until such time as Obama, and members of the prior administration stop dwelling in the past {and acting with hypocrisy} our wheels for the foreseeable future will continue to spin in the same direction, and the BS from said spin will do this country continuing damage.
It's time to give it up people. Lets start focusing on a rational AND consistent philosophy of government as well as a ethical and moral national and foreign policy.
Perhaps it is too much to ask of this aging nation...
I sincerely hope not.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney applauded the U.S. drone strike that killed American-born al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki but added that President Obama now owed the Bush administration an apology for claiming they “overreacted to 9/11.”
Speaking on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, Cheney said Obama was inconsistent for criticizing the former administration’s approach to terrorism while also using “some of the same techniques the Bush administration did.”
“We developed the technique and the technology for it,” said Cheney of the drone strike that killed Awlaki.
Cheney took particular issue with the administration’s reluctance to describe the fight against al Qaeda as a “war” and Obama’s 2009 speech in Cairo where he walked back from many Bush administration policies.
“The thing I'm waiting for is for the administration to go back and correct something they said two years ago when they criticized us for 'overreacting' to the events of 9/11,” said Cheney. “They, in effect, said that we had walked away from our ideals, or taken policies contrary to our ideals when we had enhanced interrogation techniques.”
“Now they clearly had moved in the direction of taking robust action when they feel it is justified. I say in this case I think it was, but I think they need to go back and reconsider what the president said when he was in Cairo,” he added.
"If you've got the president of the United States out there saying we overreacted to 9/11 on our watch, that's not good," said Cheney.
When asked by CNN host Candy Crowley if Cheney expected an apology from the president, the former vice president said, “Well, I would. I think that would be not for me, but I think for the Bush administration, and that he misspoke when he gave that speech in Cairo two years ago.” {Continue Reading}

Didn't have time to read the article, but didn't need to read it to agree with your point!
ReplyDeleteVery good assessment. I have determined to follow the money and connections to figure out the inconsistencies. As you say, both are full of it because both are being run by the same group of people. The people behind the Federal Reserve banking cartel is what is truly running our country. They are writing for the teleprompter and get the two sides revved up against each other, yet their agenda always marches forward.
ReplyDeletePatriots have been saying it for decades only to be marginalized and mocked. It is true and when you look at it from that perspective, it's like a decoder ring that allows you to make more sense out of events.
Les,
ReplyDeleteSpot-on, sir. The other evening, on my nightly walk, it struck me that both the GOP and the Dems simply want to CONTROL America, and not serve America. Control. Rule.
They don't want to govern, no, no, no...they want to control.
It is about ruling power, control, and making us all into subjects. Both parties are guilty of this.
Governance according to the US Constitution is dead. (My spirit screams in rage at this!) These days it is all about the cult of personality, the politics of victimhood and entitlement, and false handshakes and smiles.
We deserve what we tolerate. Screw the GOP. Screw the Dems. If it's supposed to be all about "democracy", then let We the People govern through elected officials who actually serve us instead of condescend upon us.
.
ReplyDeleteMr Cheney,
Answer the following questions:
1. At what point does a USA government official become 'above the law' (national and international)?
2. Does being 'above the law' extend to only USA President/Vice President?
3. Are Secretarial Department heads also 'above the law?' How far down the chain of command does being above the law extend?
4. Do you feel free to travel outside of USA and expect to be immune to prosecution?
5. When arrested overseas, do 'above the law' USA government officials have the right to use international law in their defense?
6. Is it naive to believe the RepublicanT Party will extend the 'above the law' immunity to Mr Obama and Mr Biden after they leave office?

@Not my name,
ReplyDeleteYou asked:
"6. Is it naive to believe the RepublicanT Party will extend the 'above the law' immunity to Mr Obama and Mr Biden after they leave office?"
---------------------
A ridiculous question, rife with the typical victim mentality that marks your party.
It is not the Conservatives who are violent. Conservatives do not have SEIU thugs beat a black American while calling him ni**er. Conservatives do not rip signs out of elderly women's hands and throw them on the ground. Conservatives don't bite the fingers off of others. Conservatives do not refer to the left as "sons of bit*hes", publicly, in front of President Obama.
Oh yeah, Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden have so much to fear from the Conservatives when they are thrown from office in 2012. You ignorant morons are still seeking to try GWB for "war crimes", yet you praise Mr. Obama for the deaths of bin-Laden and al-Awlaki as if he was a conquering hero. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Your ideology has no power here. Your words are as empty as your intellect. Run along now. Surely there's a teen girl in Michigan you can take to Planned Parenthood to kill her baby. Go on...git...before someone drops a house on your head.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Les, but I think you meant that the people who really control things are not the Dems, not the GOP, but maybe something more like republicanmother observes.
ReplyDeleteecc, the parties do not "control" anything. They are controlled. The gov't certainly doesn't control everything - only what the corporatocracy wants it to, and certainly it does not want it to control them.
JMJ
@JMJ,
ReplyDeleteYou said:
"The gov't certainly doesn't control everything..."
Did you shed a tear when you typed that? Did you curse under your breath? I know it must break your statist heart that the gub'ment doesn't control all of us. Oh, if only, if only...your Socialist Utopia would be realized!
You assume that corporate America is automatically a Conservative thing. Really? Shall we look at Obama's 2008 campaign and see who gave money to Obama? Did not the evil Wall Street enable him with money? Hmmm.
Long Live the Republic.
JMJ said: "Correct me if I'm wrong, Les,"
ReplyDeleteCan the rest of us do this too? For one thing, there is no such thing as a "corporatocracy". Certainly there is no corporate control of the political parties. BOTH parties are always piling on taxes and regulations.
As for the government, it DOES control a lot. A large segment of the economy. The rest is controlled by the people. Personally, I think the balance should shift more away from the ruling elites (government) controlling the economy.
>Correct me if I'm wrong
ReplyDeleteAre you ever NOT wrong? Not in my experience, but then, I only know your online clone, and online JMJ has a .000 batting average.
Bastiat, why don't you actually try making a grown-up argument?

ReplyDelete>why don't you actually try making a grown-up argument?
ReplyDeleteBecause you just run away either way, so why waste time on you?
Either way, you're still batting 0.000.
Poor Jersey...you come here so hoping for a platform to push your Socialist agendas, but get shot down time and again. It must be difficult for you.
ReplyDeleteYou seek to bring us into some sort of familiar and common ground, feigning that the real enemy in America is the corporate rulers, but the truth is you are simply waiting for the chance to spout your pro-Obama and statist beliefs.
We have nothing in common, JMJ. At all. Your America, your wonderful Utopia, is not America. It is slavery, oppression, the loss of individual rights, and Fascism to the hundredth power.
You're a snake. A fork-tongued simpleton who desires nothing more than to be heard. Your day will come, JMJ, when, like I said, Conservatism will be driven underground and your liberal agendas will rule the day. It's going to happen. You just need to pace yourself better, and bide your time more wisely.
It absolutely IS a game. Unfortunately, it isn't as much about winning anymore as it is about making sure that the other guy loses and looks pathetic doing so.
ReplyDeleteCheney is right in that Obama owes he and Bush an apology, since Obama is leveraging the capabilities they developed and he is continuing the Bush-Cheney policies.
ReplyDeleteUh oh. President Obama and the New Black Panther Party.
ReplyDeleteYep.

"... let We the People govern through elected officials who actually serve us instead of condescend upon us."
The people's government in USA does govern all of us, all the time; our government is us. The people working in government are open and honestly work for USA.
USA is a land of laws. The issues of being 'above the law' have to be settled. The laws must be enforced. The war criminals need to be brought to court and tried.

ReplyDeleteBush, Cheney, and Obama are not war criminals. These are false claims. Just like saying Obama was born in Kenya. Cartoonish slander fit only for blog comments, that gets laughed at by actual authorities on international law.
Ema said: "The people's government in USA does govern all of us, all the time; our government is us. The people working in government are open and honestly work for USA."
ReplyDeleteYou are rather uninformed about this. The government is not "us", it is "them". The founders recognized this. This is why the Bill of Rights and other parts of the Constitution place limits on the ruling class.
That the government is "us" is a lie that is used commonly. The socialist government that ruled Libya until recently used this same sort of rhetoric. It only fools the gullible.

Perhaps on the TeaBagging planet occupied by the very few, but in USA (land of the free, home of the brave) it is 'We The People''s government. USA is a secular and socialist government system working for the benefit of ALL people.
(On a historical note: The Constitution place limits on the 'people's government' not the 'ruling class.')
So is USA a land of laws, or do the people allow a class of people to be 'above the law'?
