Considering Presidential War Powers and the Constitutional Authority for the Same

On the heels of Obama's announcement yesterday of American troop draw down and eventual exit from Afghanistan, {and I As I prepare for a vacation break with my grandson and grandma} I leave this for your consideration. Perhaps a few will consider the content and revisit our founding charter, the Constitution of the United States of America.

It is long past due.

  1. This situation was created by congresses and courts, over the years, who lacked the political spines to put a stop to the executive war machine. And it was created by idiot voters, jingos and reactionaries, who beleieved all that ridiculous military was necessary.

    Right... and Wilson, FDR, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Clinton, just to name a few progressive presidents, had no problem using that which the congress and the courts gave them.

    Enough to go around? You think...


    In fact they advocated for more war power. Especially the progressive of all progressives, The Great Society Wonder Lyndon Johnson.
