Breaking news... Union thuggery on display in Sacramento California. Truth has a way of presenting the belligerents and thugs. As evidenced here it obviously resides in the union and liberal elements of society. Whatever happened to the civil and respectful discourse demanded by the liberals in MoveOn.org and other liberal organizations? I smell hypocrisy at its ripest.

    Oh, I do not deny brown shirt tactics are not used by the right as well. Power and the lust for power often affect both the left and the right in unfortunate ways.

    I understand your distaste for Breitbart. But you used the word "never" in reference to him. Did you really mean to use that word? Listen, I'm no techy expert or any such thing, but I have watched the video several times, looking for slips/glitches/sound discrepencies/etc. I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I don't think in this case your mistrust is warranted. In this case, mind you. I think this is a really real vid showing really real jackassery from a guy who happens to be part of the Left.

    Like Les said, though, it happens with the Right as well. There are buttheads of both stripes.

    Seeing how this guy put his hands on someone else, he should have been arrested.

Independent Conservatism

I have, for many years, considered myself to be an independent conservative . Asked by some just what that means I would reply it implies I believe in the radical political views held by the founding fathers. Men of enlightened thinking who personified  "The Age of Reason." There have been many occasions I have been brought to task for pointing to the wisdom of  such giants as Washington, Jefferson, Paine, Franklin... the list could go on but for a lack of time. We have some Americans in our population who have difficulty speaking a coherent sentence. We have many who cannot construct a complete and proper sentence. Yet we find the time and the money to educate youth in Arabic and Arabic culture. Mind you this is a Federal Grant program and limited to only five select school districts. At least for now. At a cost of 1.3 millions dollars students on these select district will be required,  you heard {read} right, required as mandatory part of their curriculum to learn Arabic. Historic Decision Reversing Campaign Laws

The Supreme Court, in a five to four decision, on  this Thursday overturned a six decade old law designed to limit the influence of large corporations and unions on elections. The new ruling will allow for unlimited spending by both large business and unions in support of, or opposition to candidates for Congress and the presidency. The six decade old law essentially prohibited labor unions and companies from using monies from their general treasuries for the purpose of producing and running campaign ads. The reversal however leaves intact the prohibition on direct contributions from businesses and unions. The decision of the court also overturned the McCain/Feingold campaign finance bill which prohibited corporate and union funded issue ads in the final days of a campaign.
