Lt. Col. Allen West... A Patriotic American and a Healer

Lieutenant Colonel Allan West is a man of integrity and honor that served his country well. He is indeed a man that understands the meaning and value of unity and what it means to be an American.

In his words you hear and feel sincerity and a love for the country he took an oath to protect and defend.



Lieutenant Colonel West is running for a congressional seat in the state of Florida. Were I a Floridian you can bet I would be working on the ground for this man to insure his election to congress.

 View his website and familiarize yourself with his positions on the issues. Washington needs more women and men with the character of Lieutenant Colonel Alan West.

Judging from the Lieutenant Colonel's  background, character, and integrity, it is possible, in fact likely he may be a rising star. We should only hope so.

Independent Conservatism

I have, for many years, considered myself to be an independent conservative . Asked by some just what that means I would reply it implies I believe in the radical political views held by the founding fathers. Men of enlightened thinking who personified  "The Age of Reason." There have been many occasions I have been brought to task for pointing to the wisdom of  such giants as Washington, Jefferson, Paine, Franklin... the list could go on but for a lack of time. We have some Americans in our population who have difficulty speaking a coherent sentence. We have many who cannot construct a complete and proper sentence. Yet we find the time and the money to educate youth in Arabic and Arabic culture. Mind you this is a Federal Grant program and limited to only five select school districts. At least for now. At a cost of 1.3 millions dollars students on these select district will be required,  you heard {read} right, required as mandatory part of their curriculum to learn Arabic. Historic Decision Reversing Campaign Laws

The Supreme Court, in a five to four decision, on  this Thursday overturned a six decade old law designed to limit the influence of large corporations and unions on elections. The new ruling will allow for unlimited spending by both large business and unions in support of, or opposition to candidates for Congress and the presidency. The six decade old law essentially prohibited labor unions and companies from using monies from their general treasuries for the purpose of producing and running campaign ads. The reversal however leaves intact the prohibition on direct contributions from businesses and unions. The decision of the court also overturned the McCain/Feingold campaign finance bill which prohibited corporate and union funded issue ads in the final days of a campaign.
