Israel And The Gaza Flotilla

As the world population in general (including many  in the USA)demonize the Israelis for being concerned for, and actively insuring the safety of their citizenry, one cannot help but wonder in amazement where rational thought has escaped to.

Israel, who has been threatened by the Islamic Republic (now there is a misnomer) of Iran with extinction, and who has to deal with many of her neighboring states refusal to acknowledge her right to exist is doing the only thing a prudent sovereign nation can do...  That is to protect herself from the very real possibility and likelihood that Hamas, Hezbollah, or some other terrorist organization or government will attempt to take measures aimed at destroying her very existence.

Hate runs deep within the Muslin world for this tiny democratic and free society. It is beyond amazing that any quasi free and democratic society would fail to recognize Israel's unique and frightening challenges.

Perhaps the free world would do well to take a longer and deeper look at their reality. Because if we don't there exists the real possibility that some day we may be a future Israel. September 2001 comes to mind. Should their be any real doubt as to why the Israelis responded as they did to the Gaza Flotilla?

    Krauthammer and Kristol cut to the bottom line: Humanitarian aid can arrive at an Israeli port and then be shipped to the dysfunctional state of Palestine.

    This was international passive-aggressive agitprop.

I admit it... there are many philosophical, governmental, business, and ethical issues on which the POTUS and me would strongly disagree. I would be being less than honest if I claimed I didn't wish the POTUS were a different individual. Ron Paul - Republican Presidential Candidate I read with great interest Ron Paul's recent statements in Iowa with respect to the 911 attacks on America by Islamic extremists and their primary motivation. Nowhere in candidate Paul's statement did I see where he justified the attacks that resulted in the death of 3,000 plus Americans. What I did read was a rational analysis of what motivated the attackers and why they were so motivated. Call it thinking outside the confines of a restricted and often myopic view of reality. In other words Paul is saying first seek to understand the motivations of a dangerous extremist group and then seek to effect ways to change their reality. IE: Perception. Because perception is reality to all people who perceive. Those who perpetrated the 911 attacks on America were monsters, and they deserved to face a full and justified...
