RepresentIve Jeffries Is Spot On...

 



A big step forward was taken in confronting America's original and biggest sin with the conviction of ex police officer Chauvin on all three counts in the murder trial of George Floyd. 

The 12 jurors made the correct and therefore moral decision based on all the evidence presented. America has the opportunity to finally and completely face its ugly past regarding its historically racist treatment of people of color.

Time and time alone will tell if America will finally grow into actually living its professed ideals of liberty and justice for all.

When the story first broke this classical liberal with libertarian leanings accepted, based on the early news reports, that George Zimmerman as guilty of a horrendous and unforgivable crime. However,as more information surfaced I began to question the veracity of the liberal contention that Zimmerman had in reality committed an act of first degree murder (my initial conclusion). Given time, and the proper reflection after new information (and opinions based on this information) surfaced it seemed, at least to this writer anyway, to step back and chill just a bit. After spending a fair amount of time on left,  or perhaps they would prefer the tag progressive leaning  blogs, reading the constant belittling, name calling, insulting and often vulgar characterizations of almost  anything they disagree with, which of course is everything conservative , I am not surprised to learn of a Anti Tea Party movement. Before going any further however I must be fair and balanced. There are a few lefties whose views and opinions are deserving of consideration and I would be amongst the first to advise everyone, including conservatives, to do so.
