by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation USA Liberty -vs- Tyranny The race is close, very close, with the momentum shifting to Romney. However, my take is the shift, as significant as it has been, came too late and too little. Progressives no doubt are biting their nails because as much as they prefer not to acknowledge it, this one is a real cliff hanger. Reminiscent of 2000. It is true if Obama loses this one progressives throughout the land will be wailing and gnashing their teeth. For them it will be a great undoing of their greatest hopes and dreams. Of course the other fifty percent of America will view it quite differently. So, as the polls close tomorrow, and the tabulating of the vote goes late into the night, we can be sure of a few thing... The nation will remain polarized, the puppet masters behind the curtains will continue calling the shots, the debt and deficits will continue, no mater who wins. And America will continue to ask why. Tomorrow, as I visit my polli
When Trump was first elected, a woman friend of my wife stopped by for coffee. Her husband had
ReplyDeleteconvinced her to vote for Trump, and she wondered what I thought. I told her that I thought
Trump as bats*it crazy. Now I see no reason to think otherwise. She came by the other day and
said she would vote against him but her husband would again vote for Trump. She pronounced her
husband as bats*it crazy. Ce sera, sera...
There is apparently no shortage of "batsh*t crazy's" the days. The republican party was changing for the worse when I pulled out of it 12-14 years ago. Since trump the party has, IMNHO lost its colective mind.
DeleteDotard is definitely a domestic adversary. This video explains why Dotard and Mitch will push for getting a judge seated ASAP. btw, turnout has been up under Dotard (how we got the blue wave), but will it be high enough to save Democracy? Everyone is on the edge of their seats. According to Thom Hartmann, in 2000 the republican controlled legislature in Florida was considering passing legislation to just give it's electors to gwb (and that Jeb Bush would have signed the bill). But then the SCOTUS ruled the way it did -- so they didn't.
ReplyDeleteThe point is that a state legislature almost gave it's electors to the loser of the popular vote in it's state in 2000 (before the SCOTUS intervened) -- and this scenario could play out in several swing states this year. Meaning Dotard could very clearly lose, but "win" anyway. And, given that it's Constitutional, public outcry is the ONLY thing that might stop legislators in swing states from handing their electors to Dotard. Even if it is the will of the people that they go to Joe Biden. In which case America is SCREWED.
I will give trump this, he has learned well how to use the system effectively to seed the federal governmemnt with his sycophants that will aid him in destroying our democratic republic. The republican party has become an authoritarian minded cult of folks that are willfully accepting the march to less freedom and liberty. not more.
DeleteAs Dr. King said, riots are the voices of the unheard. That is a concept not understood by Dotard donnie and his cultists.
trump has been planning and effecting that which will make us less free and less secure. He has our democratic republic and its principles and institutions under seige. And, trump has a scorched earth mentality when it comes to his agenda. He will stop at nothing to win. To hell with principles and ethics as long as Dotard profits either in money or power. Or BOTH.
