As The Donald Continues To Be The Donald, Exciting The 30%'ers...

This from a man who to anyone paying attention is about as honest as this.

Of course the 30% Trumpian Gladiators will support to the death one of, if not the biggest, liar in American political history.

Supporters of Donald Trump got an unexpected plea on Saturday: a request to send the billionaire money.

It was an "emergency" request, the Hill reported, representing an urgent need for an infusion of $100,000 to put ads on the air in battleground states. Why Trump couldn't simply write a check to cover the costs apparently wasn't explained, but the missive was useful regardless: It demonstrates clearly the difficult position of the Trump campaign with only 142 days to go.

We looked at Trump's sliding poll numbers on Friday, but it's worth adding a bit more context.

"[T]here’s no way to look at Trump’s national polling that avoids the grim reality that he is at a lower ebb than any general election candidate has hit in the last three elections," the National Review's Dan McLaughlin wrote last week.

Not only are Trump's poll numbers slipping, they are at a low that no one, Republican or Democrat, has seen in the past three election cycles. Looking at the window of time between 200 and 100 days before each of those elections, you can see that Trump has consistently polled worse than George W. Bush in 2004, John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012. He caught up briefly after clinching the GOP nomination — and then sank again.

  1. Wow! He tells the truth a whole 2% of the time! Imagine if he were in G. Washington's time- "That cherry tree was chopped down by Hillary and Obama, I know and you know. They chopped it down and should both be
in jail or resign in disgrace immediately. I'm so great that cherry trees will burst forth all over the country. It's all in my book 'Mein Ka...I mean Art of the Deal' (cheers)

  2. Hillary should win with one of the greatest landslides in presidential election history. Then we are still stuck with someone who won't satisfy the public's cry for change. Obama continued many of Bush's policies and Clinton will continue all of Obama's policies. Same old, same old, BS.

  3. Well Luke, when the choice is between a potential total disaster (Trump), or a sprained ankle, wrist, and dislocated shoulder (HRC), I'll opt for the later every time.

    1. Agreed, Rational Nation USA.
To me it's an easy choice between Trump and Clinton, but the dissatisfaction the public has with the government won't dissipate with Clinton being elected president and the public grumbling will get worse. IF Republicans keep majority, I don't see anything but more "do nothing" coming out of Congress, whose approval ratings have been near single digits for years. Trump may also solve that problem by getting voters to vote out Republican legislators and give Democrats majority. I don't expect that to happen. It's just a Democrats wet dream. We will see.

    2. It is more likely that the result o the Trumpian charge will be to reduce the number of republican reps. If Trump continues his represent course maybehe will flip the senate back to the dems.

HRC will have a great deal of pressure from Warren and Sanders, along with other more liberal members of congress, to actually move further to the political left. So yeah, the house may rmain very obstructionist.

    3. As I said, Les. This is like the choice between Edwin Edwards and David Duke.

I may not be too happy with it, but to me the choice is clear.

    4. "HRC will have a great deal of pressure from Warren and Sanders"

Hillary might have legions of "Clinton Republicans" sweeping her into office. I hope, anyway.

This might press her to be more centrist.

    5. That is certainly a possibility dmarks. Time will reveal all.

If Trump is elected, a highly unlikely event, plan to move forward to the ast in a very bnig hurry. I am not talking about the good past by any stretch. It will surely be the bad and ugly. At least in my never humble opinion anyway.
