Do You Know?...

Reasonable questions? Reasonable concerns? Do we as citizens as well as the press have a right, indeed a responsibility to question our government boldly?... regardless of party in power? Does doing so make one unpatriotic? A conspiracy theorist? A looney tune looking for attention?

Given the rhetoric of some sometimes one cannot but help to wonder.

(Wikimedia Commons/ Angr) This site is not a supporter of the mechanisms of ObamaCare and questions whether it in fact will ultimately make health care either more accessible r affordable. Except for those receiving a subsidy or are getting it free. All that aside I do agree with following Moyers & Company article stating that ObamaCare is widening the gap between red America and blue America. Something needed to be done with our health care and insurance system. Most agree that the pre ObamaCare system needed some work. Unfortunately reason failed American politics and what we have achieved is an ever more polorized country with no end to the polarization. The Losing of Iraq...

Bush made it's decision to invade Iraq ( using questionable justification it helped set up the scenario we see unfolding today. Ultimately the decision destabilized the region further, created more anti American sentiment in the region, and set up Iraq for civil strife and internal political instability. All for a cost of billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars, loss of American life, and loss of Iraqi life. by: Les Carpenter Rational Nation U S A Purveyor of Truth Following last nights rather mundane and short on specifics SOTU by President Obama I started thinking about the future and if there is anyone in the current ranks of the GOP or the Libertarian Party who could possibly be elected to the presidency in 2016. Frankly given the crop of malcontents and loonies(Christie doesn't fall into that group but he has shot himself in the big toe) that seem to be getting attention in the GOP it appears unlikely. Another Republican Accused Of Sexual Misconduct...

David French had the following to say regarding Roy Moore and his alleged sexual misconduct 40 years ago. Conservatives, be careful. Don’t dismiss the claims. While I don’t know if the allegations are true, I’m deeply troubled on a number of grounds. First, these women didn’t seek out the press. According to the Post report, its reporters reached out to them after hearing that “Moore allegedly had sought relationships with teenage girls.” So far as we know, they weren’t put forward by the opposing campaign, and the woman who made the most serious allegations against Moore says that she voted for Trump in 2016. None of the women have donated to Moore’s primary or general-election opponent. Second, if you read the report, it includes validation from a number of witnesses who say that they were aware of the relationships at the time.
