Now for the concluding lecture segments in Objectivism by Professor Leonard Peikoff.





Professor Peikoff's lecture just scratches the surface of Objectivist philosophy. For those who took the time to listen to all 8 segments, and had their curiosity aroused I suggest visiting the ARI as well as reading Ayn Rand's many non fiction works for a greater understanding of Objectivism. There are books written by other advocates of Objectivist thought and ethics that help in understanding the philosophy as well.

Another False Narrative of the Right...

Below is a header picture on display at a rightwing trumper weblog . One of those sites that proudly supports whatever false narrative the sitting predisent declares to be true. As they overlook tRump's xenophobia, narcissism, bigotry, misogyny, dishonesty, racism, and general incompetence for the job he was elected to they resort to posting pictures like the one below. In their inability to counter the concerns of the  knowledgable,   legitimate, and intelligent opposition with legitimate credible evidence they resort to characterizing them as lazy, fat, effeminate, slovenly, and just wanting free stuff from the deep state . There is a certain small segment of our poulation, both conservative and liberal, that is lazy and prefer to do as little as possible. He has reportedly expressed privately concerns that his former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would if nominated and ultimately elected undo some of his policies. April Job Numbers Appear Improved... Are They Really?

The good news is unemployment fell to a four year low, certainly at year six in Obama's Presidential tenure strikes a positive note. Or does it? At the same time the number of people employed part time rose as well as strong indications are showing the Affordable Care Act (ACA aka ObamaCare) will have a long term negative impact on the USA economy. The following is an interesting analysis and one that certainly has some credibility. AEI - US job growth in April beat economist expectations as nonfarm payrolls rose 165,000, and the jobless rate fell to a four-year low of 7.5%. No sooner than things start to settle in following a mid term or presidential election than the pols start preparing for the next election and the spinning starts in earnest. Leaving one to wonder just when our elected officials are actually working on our behalf. Call me the cynic but I cannot help but believe our politicians and leaders spend more time working to create the "world of smoke and mirrors" they want us to exist in for their sake than actually representing us and taking care of crucial matters that affect our nation and each and every one of us.
