Paul Ryan's plan may not be perfect, but it is a path in the right direction. Do not let the destructive progressive collectivist statists mislead you with their misinformation and deceitful rhetoric. America is facing a severe fiscal crisis that only sound fiscal thinking and policies can pull us away from the brink of collapse.

The democrats and the Obama administration have no plan. Other than the continuation of the statist big spending policies we have grown accustomed to seeing during the past few administrations.

It is inded time for a change.

    Actually, there is a third plan out there that shrinks the deficit quicker than Ryan's plan and or Obama's plan. It is called the Progressive Caucus Plan....it balances tax increases, with spending cuts and includes investments in infrasture and energy....

I admit it... there are many philosophical, governmental, business, and ethical issues on which the POTUS and me would strongly disagree. I would be being less than honest if I claimed I didn't wish the POTUS were a different individual. One whose governing practices and philosophy of government more closely resembled that of Founding Fathers and responsible independent modern conservatives. The reality is however just this. The people of the United States elected this man to the highest office in the land for four years. He has served as POTUS for just over one year and we are seeing Impeach Obama signs on a major highway in Wisconsin. Obviously somebody in Wisconsin certainly does not like this POTUS very much. The unnamed company, presumably a small one, has paid to have the billboard displayed for six months at one thousand dollars a month. Ron Paul - Republican Presidential Candidate I read with great interest Ron Paul's recent statements in Iowa with respect to the 911 attacks on America by Islamic extremists and their primary motivation. Nowhere in candidate Paul's statement did I see where he justified the attacks that resulted in the death of 3,000 plus Americans. What I did read was a rational analysis of what motivated the attackers and why they were so motivated. Call it thinking outside the confines of a restricted and often myopic view of reality. In other words Paul is saying first seek to understand the motivations of a dangerous extremist group and then seek to effect ways to change their reality. IE: Perception. Because perception is reality to all people who perceive. Those who perpetrated the 911 attacks on America were monsters, and they deserved to face a full and justified...

After 10 years on Blogger it is time to say goodbye. It’s been an interesting up and down run, one that has been both fun and frustrating. In fact with so many ill-informed and hyper partisan folks out there it has even been maddening from time to time. I know our American politics have always been somewhat lively and partisan, but, I honestly don’t recall any time in my adult life that they have been as divided and nasty as they are right now. Trump bears a GREAT deal of responsibility for the rapid deterioration of civil and rational discourse over the last 3 + years. Trump's Long Shutdown...

Trump is responsible for the extended shutdown, and, there is no end in sight. The president, on national tee vee , stated he would be proud to shut down the government and that he wouldn't blame Schumer and the democrats. Trump is playing to his base in what is nothing more than a cynical power play. As the shutdown drags on with no end in sight, and Americans in increasing numbers are directly impacted by Trump's shutdown decision, the heat on the president and his party will undoubtedly increase. Or, Trump could exercise his self described superior deal making acumen (something only Trump himself believes) and get back to the negotiating table and hammer out a win-win with the democrats. But his infantile stubbornness and disregard for the American people will prevent him from doing this.
