Hiatus

Although some people may find this statement a bit far-fetched, there is life outside blogging, and life right now dictates that I take a bit of a hiatus from my own blogging (which has been rather sparse recently anyway). While I realize that there are some who would like it to be a permanent absence (particularly those who--try as they might--can never produce a valid rebuttal to clear statements of the principles of liberty), I do plan on coming back when other priorities are taken care of. Kind words and encouragement from a number of people have convinced me to take a shorter break than I had originally planned.

I'll be lurking on occasion in the meantime, and may even throw out a comment or two when I get a chance.

    Bastiatarian: I think anyone who takes blogging “seriously” needs a break now and again; it’s a lot of work, as you know, and there are times when we need to re-charge.

    Although you’ll be missed, know that while you’re away, you’ll be doing yourself a world of good, so that when you return you’ll be better than ever!

    Take care and I’ll be looking forward to your return.

We have some Americans in our population who have difficulty speaking a coherent sentence. We have many who cannot construct a complete and proper sentence. Yet we find the time and the money to educate youth in Arabic and Arabic culture. Mind you this is a Federal Grant program and limited to only five select school districts. At least for now. At a cost of 1.3 millions dollars students on these select district will be required,  you heard {read} right, required as mandatory part of their curriculum to learn Arabic. This is a blatant abuse of taxpayer money, and it is indicative of the future course our nation has embarked upon under the fuzzy, misguided, and incredibly deceitful anti leade...

Michigan State Government, ban on same-sex marriage helps 'regulate sexual relationships'...

Apparently to preserve the state's interest to "regulate sexual relationships" and ensure population growth. The brief filed by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette's office states that Michigan and other states that define marriage as the union of a man and a women have determined it appropriate for the state "to regulate sexual relationships between men and women so that the unique procreative capacity of such relationships benefits rather than harms society." By: Pamela D. Hart Where do people like Rep. Jan Schakowsky get the belief that we do not deserve to keep what we earn? In my opinion there is no question as to whether I deserve MY earnings. There also isn’t a question of whether I should support my government or not…of course I should. The question is HOW much is ENOUGH? I suppose if I had the answer to THAT, I’d be one famous woman! We also have people, such as Elizabeth Warren, who said no one in this country has ever gotten rich on his own. That your goods were moved to market on roads paid for by someone else; that your workers were educated in public schools supported by someone else; that your business or factory is safe because the police force is paid for by, yep, you guessed it… someone else! Doesn’t Ms. Warren realize that even business owner’s pay taxes? Not only do they have local, state and federal taxes, they also have employer taxes.
