A collection of videos that make sense. If not in the entirety at least in part. Unlike the flaming Leninist/Stalinist left as epitomized by Chairman TAO,  Rational Nation USA's belief is in the individual and their ability to think for themselves.

America is indeed at a crossroads. The choices we make today will determine the reality of tomorrow for future generations as well as this generation in the near future.

As a true independent conservative I have no desire other than to see the individual, and the individual states of this nation retain their own unique identity. Funny thing... in my ignorance as the Chairman is so quickly to point out, this sounds an awful a lot like Jeffersonian principals.

The rancor that the Chairman has cultivated aside, I hope the following gives thought to those with open minds... unlike the Chairman.

Independent Conservatism

I have, for many years, considered myself to be an independent conservative . Asked by some just what that means I would reply it implies I believe in the radical political views held by the founding fathers. Men of enlightened thinking who personified  "The Age of Reason." There have been many occasions I have been brought to task for pointing to the wisdom of  such giants as Washington, Jefferson, Paine, Franklin... the list could go on but for a lack of time. The heart of  the argument used is these are ghosts from the grave and thus bear no relevancy to the present. Nothing could be further from the truth. When and How Will it End?

We have some Americans in our population who have difficulty speaking a coherent sentence. We have many who cannot construct a complete and proper sentence. Yet we find the time and the money to educate youth in Arabic and Arabic culture. Mind you this is a Federal Grant program and limited to only five select school districts. At least for now. At a cost of 1.3 millions dollars students on these select district will be required,  you heard {read} right, required as mandatory part of their curriculum to learn Arabic. Historic Decision Reversing Campaign Laws

The Supreme Court, in a five to four decision, on  this Thursday overturned a six decade old law designed to limit the influence of large corporations and unions on elections. The new ruling will allow for unlimited spending by both large business and unions in support of, or opposition to candidates for Congress and the presidency. The six decade old law essentially prohibited labor unions and companies from using monies from their general treasuries for the purpose of producing and running campaign ads. The reversal however leaves intact the prohibition on direct contributions from businesses and unions. The decision of the court also overturned the McCain/Feingold campaign finance bill which prohibited corporate and union funded issue ads in the final days of a campaign. America has just been given a glimpse into the future as crafted by President Barrack Husein Obama if you will. And the future looks VERY bleak. First,  let me make it perfectly clear that the big government, liberal spending, so called conservative GWB must share a portion of the blame for our countries dismal and alarming fiscal mess. Lets be honest with ourselves, he started the deficit spending ball rolling and rolled it right into the lap of President Obama.
