It Looks To Be A Good Year For The Second Amendment and Liberty
It could be a very good year in America as five Supreme Court Justices are lined up behind the Second Amendment, or a citizens right to bear arms. This issue has been a political football for years and it seems that perhaps, and hopefully once and for all the Supreme Court puts it to rest.
Some excerpts from todays Los Angeles Times.
Reporting from Washington - Most of the Supreme Court justices who two years ago said the 2nd Amendment protects individual gun rights signaled during arguments Tuesday that they are ready to extend this right nationwide and to use it to strike down some state and local gun regulations.
Indeed good news for American sportsmen and all law abiding citizen concerned about protecting themselves and their homes against criminal activities against their person or property.

Since 1982, Chicago has outlawed handguns in the city, even for law-abiding residents who sought to keep one at home. That ordinance was challenged by several city residents who said it violated their right "to keep and bear arms" under the 2nd Amendment.
A ruling striking down the Chicago handgun ban would reverberate nationwide because it would open the courthouse door to constitutional challenges to all manner of local or state gun regulations. However, the justices may not give much guidance on how far this right extends.
While it will be several months before the Justices will hand down a decision, and it is possible the decision will leave some questions unanswered and open to further challenge. Early indications are however the decision will strengthen the Second Amendment and a citizen's right to bear arms. That folks is positive move in the right direction by the court.
All American's who value their constitutional rights and guarantees need to get behind this and show unyielding support for the 2'nd Amendment. The liberal establishment will certainly be doing all it can to influence public opinion against our right to bear and keep arms for lawful purposes.
