Rational Nation USA

It appears the Obama Administration has found the right war. As the United States properly begins a draw down of  troops, and a diminished role in Iraq, the President is increasing the number of troops in Afghanistan. He is doing so without providing a rational justification and certainly he has not established clear objectives. After 911 the United States was, in most Americans eyes, justified pursuing military action in Afghanistan. The mission, to root out Osama Bib Laden and crush the terrorist organization responsible for the unprovoked deaths of over 3,000 Americans. A clear justification and a clear mission. After spending billions on the effort we managed to subdue the terrorist organization, and  capture some of it's top leaders, but still the prime target is free. We pushed the Taliban into hiding,  manged to put into place a corrupt and inept government, and then along came the Iraq opportunit...

The battle waging today in our land is for nothing less than to insure we retain this ideal for future generations of Americans.  I turn to a speech by President Reagan, made over 20 years ago to remind us all. Judge Napolitano in his four part Constitution for Dummies is brilliant. His grasp and understanding of the Constitution is clearly evident, as is his historical perspective. These four videos, comprising approximately 37 minutes are a must hear. For those who believe the government has always acted in accordance with the Constitution these segments will be real eye openers. For those of us who knew better they serve to reinvigorate our passion to restore our Republic to what it should be and could be. In order to accomplish this we must educate ourselves and our children. Then, "We the People" must act to vote individuals into office that will represent our interests and protect the freedoms embodied in our founding document.

Borders - Language - Culture, three words that are at the core of  Michael Savage's belief  in what helped make America the greatest nation on earth. I believe Doctor Savage also thinks (if I read him correctly) that unless we reverse our current slide into multi-culturalism, required bilingual education, the onslaught of illegal aliens, and our apparent fascination with the goodness of other cultures over our American culture we will never regain our prior position in the world. These are valid concerns, one all American citizens should consider deeply, and with out the lens of political correctness. Immigrants who come to this nation legally, with the idea of securing  a better life for their families, coupled with the desire and willingness to work deserve our countries welcome and respect.
