Liberty -vs- Tyranny
Is it possible we have arrived at such a place, and that through our conditioning we fail to recognize it?
I'm sure the purveyors of cronyism (aka crony capitalism) and the "banksters" are smiling in approval of the job well done by puppets whose strings they ultimately control.
Food for thought. Reality? You be the judge.

"When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed." Ayn Rand

i agree with him, there is no such thing as "crony capitalism". that term is a tool of collectivism and for the promotion of collectivism. how?
ReplyDeleteit forces the individualist to get a view of a collective then making a judgment that the businessman is the bad guy in some way or another.
by making the business man out as the bad guy an argument can be made for needing further government intervention of regulations.
in this method conservatives as well as libertarians and even some who call themselves objectivists are aiding and abetting in the promotion of the socialistic agenda.
There is a long line of businessmen lined up at the trough of government welfare. Only too willing to ask for, and accept protection from competition. Cronyism...
DeleteWow. What a quote. Yes, we are here.
ReplyDeleteSane people in the business world are asking why we are propping up a rotten, failed banking system instead of reforming it, but who's listening?
Indeed we are Silver.
DeleteA few asking, some listening to the questioners and then wondering as well... No one answering...
