Indeed, the current field of presidential candidates falling all over themselves to win the "R" nomination to run for president against Obama 2012 are devoid of... 1) A proper philosophy of governance, 2) ethical principles, 3) consistency, 4) a clue as to our nations real problems and what it will take to resolve them.

Principles and vision does matter.

    if we are comparing the founding fathers to political philosophies of today i would place Libertarianism as closest to their line of thinking, not Conservativism.

As we celebrate Independence Day 2018 focusing on the following and fighting to preserve our freedoms and civil liberties has taken on a new urgency. With the election of Donald J. Trump our cherished freedoms and civil liberties face the greatest internal threat than at anytime during our modern history. Mitch Greenlick, from Portland Oregon and his ridiculously absurd anti smoking legislation that he introduced in Oregon. Don't get me wrong. As an aspiring personal fitness trainer I advocate a healthy and active lifestyle. Certainly smoking does not lend itself to a healthy lifestyle. Quite the opposite. However, I do not support the state as being the vehicle to control the individuals choice with respect to fitness and health practices. Except for those receiving a subsidy or are getting it free. All that aside I do agree with following Moyers & Company article stating that ObamaCare is widening the gap between red America and blue America. Something needed to be done with our health care and insurance system. Most agree that the pre ObamaCare system needed some work.
