Progressive Collectivism And Obamanomics

As the economies of Greece, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom teeter on the brink of collapse the progressive collectivist governing the United States is following the same  path of mistakes these European counties have.

The video illustrates how stark our future outlook is if we continue down this road.

However, Europe is waking up to the reality that continued deficit spending to support their welfare states needs a second look. Excepts from Karl Rove's article Obama and the Fiscal 'Road to Hell' on the President's G20 remarks.

Mr. Obama's international defeat was self-inflicted. He went to Toronto to press other major nations to do as he has done: Expand government spending, or suffer, in the president's words, "renewed economic hardship and recession."

Canada, Germany, Great Britain and most other countries declined Mr. Obama's invitation. The German economic minister "urgently" prodded America to cut spending at a press conference on June 21, prior to the G-20 meeting. The president of the European central bank took direct aim at Mr. Obama's argument, telling the Italian newspaper La Repubblica on June 16 that "the idea that austerity measures could trigger stagnation is incorrect."

Of course the "One"will likely not listen to reason. After all as Rahm Emanuel says, never let a crisis go to waste. In the progressive collectivist lexicon now is just another opportunity to spend and increase the size of their beloved Leviathan. Read the rest of Karl Rove's article here.

In a different vein... I see where 238 Presidential scholars have ranked The "One" as our fifteenth best President. And this after just eighteen months in office. No surprise really. As most of academia today falls in the ranks of the progressive collectivist  the only real surprise is they didn't rank the"One" just behind FDR.

  1. Even socialist Europe finally gets it, but not the Obama White House...

  2. The absurdity of using an article from Karl Rove to discuss economics and or anything for that matter...

This man should be tarred and feathered and run out of the country on a pole.

But this proves my point, it really isn't about 'principles' with you its all anti-obama...

If it was about "principles" you would be as disgusted with Rove as you are with Obama...

  3. Kurt - Sad isn't it. But this s what we are stuck with at least until 2012. Hopefully he is stopped by the new Congress after the 2010 mid term elections.

  4. TAO - You point is irrelevant.

I used the article to point out that soon Obama will be another Lone Ranger.

I did not comment on anything else with respect to Rove. The point the article supported is valid. Even if you choose the keep your eyes closed.

Your blind dogmatic acceptance of all things progressive and collectivist only points to liberal intolerance of any and all things rational.

Just my opinion and I am sticking to it.

  5. Yep, Rove is a brillant one...

He's the one that took the Republican Party and turned it into the mess that it is today and he is the one that made conservativism a laughing stock to everyone!

You go right on and defend your boy...

That explains why your "principals" are not "principles"

  6. the left always blames the republicans. What was Carter's excuse?
Obama's policies will keep us in a recession/depression for as long as FDR's did.

    They never learn.

  7. TAO...

I repeat for you as I know you must be slow today after all your spinning the past few...

I did not comment on anything else with respect to Rove. The point the article supported is valid. Even if you choose the keep your eyes closed.

Beyond the comment at hand I do not believe I offered any other opinion. In fact I do not believe Rove has been a point of discussion at this sight in the past.

Nice try TAO... As usual a dismal failure.

  8. lisa - I fear you are right. But don't tell the progressive collectivists. We wouldn't want to get them all in a tizzy now would we?

  9. TAO, in case you haven't noticed, BOTH parties are laughing stocks to anyone with a brain. And NO one person can ruin a party (or a nation); SOMEONE (actually a bunch of them) have to vote for the morons (or the people that appoint them). That's why republicans and democrats alike are joining the Tea Party, as well as folks who call themselves conservative and those who claim liberalism. BOTH parties have dropped the ball, it's just the democrats turn to take the heat because they're the ones in control at the moment.
