The Bible, Koran, Judaism, Christianity, Islam; all monotheistic religions as originally developed are primarily about power and control. And coercion and fear were the mechanisms used to insure the acceptance of a brutal and unforgiving book of myths.
The power of blind unexamined faith still exists today in our modern and more educated world. The result? Almost continually unabated destruction of nature, obvious genocide in Gaza by the Zionist regime of Netanyahu, protracted war in Ukraine, Islamic extremism throughout the Middle East and Africa, the breakdown of liberal democratic societies, the increase in authoritarian fascist regimes across the globe, and the continued lust for wealth and power by Evangelical Christian Nationalist churches of America.
Just as Jesus of Nazareth's teachings were bastardized by the RCC and the Roman Empire the truth of the brutal evils of all the monotheistic religions are even yet today being sugar coated and denied by those conditioned to accept and teach the false narratives in the "Holy Books" for the purpose of maintaining control over the lives of otherwise free agents.
And folks, your religion AND your government are now working in concert to find new and creative ways to control the reality and life of every one they can influence. Influence them to allow then to continue to set the rules for how others live and what they should believe.
As for me? I stepped off the path of myth and being controlled by ignorance, delusion, and fear. And the liberating effect has been phenomenal.
I admit it... there are many philosophical, governmental, business, and ethical issues on which the POTUS and me would strongly disagree. I would be being less than honest if I claimed I didn't wish the POTUS were a different individual. One whose governing practices and philosophy of government more closely resembled that of Founding Fathers and responsible independent modern conservatives. The reality is however just this. The people of the United States elected this man to the highest office in the land for four years. He has served as POTUS for just over one year and we are seeing Impeach Obama signs on a major highway in Wisconsin. Obviously somebody in Wisconsin certainly does not like this POTUS very much. The unnamed company, presumably a small one, has paid to have the billboard displayed for six months at one thousand dollars a month. I am sure those collecting the six thousand dollars and the sign company are all to happy to collect...

I read with great interest Ron Paul's recent statements in Iowa with respect to the 911 attacks on America by Islamic extremists and their primary motivation. Nowhere in candidate Paul's statement did I see where he justified the attacks that resulted in the death of 3,000 plus Americans. What I did read was a rational analysis of what motivated the attackers and why they were so motivated. Call it thinking outside the confines of a restricted and often myopic view of reality. In other words Paul is saying first seek to understand the motivations of a dangerous extremist group and then seek to effect ways to change their reality. IE: Perception. Because perception is reality to all people who perceive. Those who perpetrated the 911 attacks on America were monsters, and they deserved to face a full and justified...
