Is America Descending into a Theocracy not unlike those of the Muslim Mid East?

 




From where I sit it sure as heck appears we are descending into the very dark existence that follows all theocracies. History tells the truth. The record is clear. The founders understood this. Hence our secular constitution, and the Freedom of Religion this nation has always claimed. The freedom to practice any damn religion or faith one chooses.

It is clear certain segments of this nation have little to no respect for the constitution or the rights of those of us who choose not to share their extremist views on religion and Christianity.

Darker days ahead. Count on it.

The Losing of Iraq...

Bush made it's decision to invade Iraq ( using questionable justification it helped set up the scenario we see unfolding today. Ultimately the decision destabilized the region further, created more anti American sentiment in the region, and set up Iraq for civil strife and internal political instability. Frankly given the crop of malcontents and loonies(Christie doesn't fall into that group but he has shot himself in the big toe) that seem to be getting attention in the GOP it appears unlikely. Then he made the following remarks that IMNHO told the nation in full agenda with respect to said issue. Having a in depth discussion of race relations might very well be appropriate and a general discussion is something that MOST American's would welcome. Using the Zimmerman verdict ks simply the WRONG event at possibly the right time.
