Goodbye Politics, Enter Cannabis, Good Health and Happiness...

 Today is a very good day at Rational Nation USA. After many months of going back and forth we are happy to announce this weblog will be closed to any and all political content. Period.

While both political parties share in the constant and pervasive negativity the Republican party is responsible for the lion's share of negativity. When 30% of the population can suck the oxygen out of a room there is something deeply wrong with it. I leave it to each of  you to decide which side you are on.

This weblog begin 12 years ago as a fiscally conservative Randian friendly weblog with a socially libertarian slant. Posts and discussions were to focus on reducing and controlling the national debt and achieving annual balanced budgets, alongside the virtues of Classical Liberalism  modified to meet 21 century realities. Today, after 12 years this weblog has ceased to serve that purpose.

The Republican party under the leadership of Mitch McConnell has become nothing but a destructive and dangerously divisive force in America. Donald J. Trump, America's most inept as well as undemacratic president in recent modern politics was merely the crowning accomplishment of the misguided and dishonest Republican party. America suffered. It will likely continue to suffer the effects for years to come.

Politics and government are dead to this weblog. This being the last post allow any comments relative to politics.

We are not however closing down. Focus going forward will be limited to cannabis (its many beneficial medical uses), health, fitness, and happiness. It will be an open forum for users and advocates to openly talk about their personal experiences and share helpful information that may help others considering cannabis  use as an alternative to big Parma to improve health.

AS the proprietor of this weblog I will share personal exeriences in the many ways cannabis has improved my life and health since I begin using daily for medicinal purposes.     I agree with you, but just because I have given up doesn't mean it's pointless. It won't happen in my lifetime, but I do believe the people will get disgusted and change (through their votes) the manner of and reason for elected representation. Getting rid of Trump was the first glimmer of hope.

      trump being out of office does not lessen the threat to our democratic republic's survival. The party of lies, destruction, and insurection is still alive and sick. But worrying about it or fixing it is not my problem. I just don't care anymoee.

Rational Nation U S A Purveyor of Truth Seen today on a rightwing tea-publican weblog. When "their side" has nothing of substance to offer, and they known it, posters such as the one below become popular. Such posters are considered intellectual by the teabag folks on the right. To be balanced such posters do find their way onto left-wing weblogs. The difference? April Job Numbers Appear Improved... Are They Really?

The good news is unemployment fell to a four year low, certainly at year six in Obama's Presidential tenure strikes a positive note. Or does it? At the same time the number of people employed part time rose as well as strong indications are showing the Affordable Care Act (ACA aka ObamaCare) will have a long term negative impact on the USA economy.
