Statement Following Meeting With President Trump

Palm Beach, FL. – Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) issued the following statement today:


“House Republicans and the Trump administration achieved historic results for all Americans. We were able to do this because we listened to and understood the concerns of our fellow citizens that had long been ignored. As a result, House Republicans defied the experts and the media by expanding our growing coalition across the country.

“Today, President Trump committed to helping elect Republicans in the House and Senate in 2022. A Republican majority will listen to our fellow Americans and solve the challenges facing our nation. Democrats, on the other hand, have only put forward an agenda that divides us — such as impeaching a President who is now a private citizen and destroying blue-collar energy jobs. For the sake of our country, the radical Democrat agenda must be stopped.

“A united conservative movement will strengthen the bonds of our citizens and uphold the freedoms our country was founded on.”


It is now crystal clear that the once respected and effective Party of Lincoln has willfully betrayed everything the party once stood for. 

Even after his seditious attempts to overturn a free, fair, and secure election, and then inciting an insurrection in an attempt to overthrow the federal government, the sick pathetic GOP (and trump's cultists) continues to stand behind, and in support of,  perhaps the greatest threat to our union since the Civil War.

These people are interested only in POWER and CONTROL. And NOTHING else. They will use lies, conspiracy, and any and everything else that will create division and unrest. All in their efforts to grasp and maintain power illegitimately.

If you value our democracy. If you value our republic, If you value our Constitution. If you value inclusiveness. If you value truth. If you value honesty. If you value decency. If you value diversity. If you value social and economic justice. If you value cooperation in governance. If you value this planet. If you value this country and the ideals on which it always stood (until 2017) then you MUST stand against the Kevin McCarthy's, the GOP,  and MOST definitely against the  donald j. trump's of this wilting nation.
