The Lincoln Project - Conservative Republican's With a Clue

Comments

  1. It figures. The list of people/organizations attacked/desecrated by the acting president
is encyclopedic. It's like a whose who of sanity. Doing some light reading, I ran across
a list of demented leaders/crooks: Al Capone, Ivan the Terrible, Benito Mussolini,
Idi Amin and Henry VIII, who suffered late stage dementia. In each case, their devolution
involved infection by treponema pallidum. Otherwise known as syphilis, the infected
enjoyed a randy lifestyle. While it could explain the firing of hundreds of professional
experts, the pardoning of a war criminal, harassment of Gold Star parents and putting
a son in law in charge of all things government, it could be an excuse. What other
excuse is there? (feel free to list them)

  2. Excuse? His fans love this "tough guy" behavior. It's what endears him to them.

  3. 30% of the voting public and a mega majority of republicans in congrese (I prefer to refer to them as repukelicans because they make me want to puke) are living in a special place, their heads.

I never thought I would EVER have to say THIS but, today I am completely disgusred with those leadig our nation at the FEDERAL level (GOP). I depise the executive branch and its leader tRump, and I believe at this junctuee we are DONE as the nation we once were. tRump is piece by piece destroying our democratic republic.

If he survives his cluster F--K habdling of the coronavirus pandemic in the US and God forbid wins reelection the USA as moral and etical leader if the free world will be gone forever probably. Simply put tRump is EVIL to his core IMNHO.

    2. I might become part of the the resistance afaibst tRuml and his authoritarian corrupt incompetent but I WILL NEVER LEAVE MY COUNTRY.

You however can feel free to leave ANYTIME.

  4. So the "Justice" Department found reason to drop the charges against Flynn who entered two guilty please fir lying. HE PLEADED GUILTY.

We should now just invalidate perjury being a prosecutable now. How does Trumptard Barr justify this.

Trump and HIS GOP are starting to make their alternative fact free universe a reality. As we watch powerless.

  5. The contrast between Senator McConnell's year long shelving of Merrick Garland (probably
the most objective judge in a generation and very highly thought of) and the current
McConnell who appoints pliant judges (many of whom fail even the ABA seal approval) with
a shameful rush, is astonishing. Consider the replacement of experts and professionals
at all key levels by political hacks, rich donors and relatives (drain the swamp, create
a landfill) and a cowed majority in the senate and we have classical minority rule:
very much like the thirties Germany. So the House and a free press stand between a
constitutional democracy and a private corporation which owns a section of N. America.
IMO, this Covid thing will be long and harsh...at some point, those who are capable of
thought will realize the Emperor Has No Clues. I have to disagree-we are not powerless.
We have facts, reality, history, loud voices..and in fact a majority. Ecrasez l'infame!

    1. BB... are you talking about the principled Mitch McConnell? I'm sure McConnell would tell President Trump not to even bother sending a nomination up in the event of a SCOTUS vacancy during this, an election year. Because I believe Sen McConnell is an honorable man, always acting in the best interests of the US and not on politics.

And I also believe in unicorns, candy cane lane and the tooth fairy.

  11. Remember last year when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi suggested that federal politicians should decide what people post on social media?

If you missed it, Pelosi suggested that freedom of expression for social media companies is a "gift" and a "privilege" that can be rescinded if tech companies don't move in the direction she wants.

    3. Dingleberry Anon worries about Pelosi. The rest of us,
even FoxNews, see a different problem:
“I believe that President Trump is engaged in the most direct sustained assault on freedom of the press in our history,” Fox News anchor Chris Wallace said at a Society of Professional Journalists press freedom event in Washington on December 11, 2019.
Dingleberry Anon didn't elect a president, he elected an immature
lying bully (who lost by 3,000,000) Lock Him Up.

    4. Yes BB Trump launched and has sustained his unprecedented attack on the media for a reason. He has also attacked the FBI and other departments of government as well and for the same reason, to sow doubt and chaos. And why is that? To cause great distrust and suspicion of the media and eveything else that dares to giestion and not supoort trumpism.

Trump iis a direct, clear and present danger yo our democratic republic and everything that is good and decent about that which the framers gave us.

  12. The existence of the Lincoln Project (RealRepublicans) is the work of Trump himself.
IMO, he has never and never will employ anyone smarter than himself. Since that eliminates
99%, he has surrounded himself with those even dumber than him. The results?
Drain The Swamp! Sure..and create an arid desert. The Trump Miracle: unemployment goes
up..and so does the stock market. Politicians of all stripes lose their jobs for
sexual indiscretion: not the lurid misogynist..after all THAT would be fake news.
A modus operandi of blaming the 'other', countries, any American who disagrees,
the press, health professionals, environmental scientists..even the US military.
When the stupid surround themselves with the dumb, what else would we expect?
..and that is why the Lincoln Project.

    1. Of course you are spot on BB, as usual. The Lincoln Project is a noble undertaking, one I have contributed $$'s to as well as posting new ad releases on this weblog. My reach and traffic ain't what it used to be (I became like the plaque to consevatives when I began to call out the GOP and fake consevatives for their hypocrisy) but I figure every little bit helps.
