Ring Out the Old and Ring In the New!...

“As this year is ending, I wish all the negativity and difficulties also end with this year and 2020 bring success and desired results for you”.

And may November 2020 bring a resounding defeat to our Dotard Presnit!

  4. Well Clem, you're a guy who leans right. You just might be that guy you speak of.

The problem with guys like you is this... you go to multiple sites, disregard the rules of the bloggers to stay on point, are uncivil, tend not to be able to converse with swearing and never back up opinion with and factual evidence.

RN wishes for an end to negativity in this post.

Why not just post a simple Happy New Year, or if that is too hard, nothing at all?

After all, Red was a generally positive guy who brought joy to millions. You should emulate him.

Again... Have a great year Les!

    1. Can you believe the right wing imbeciles Dave? All they have to do is 1) stay on topic, 2) be civil and avoid profanity, 3) observing these 2 simple rules is all it takes and their comments will stand. Even is in total disagree with this blogs position on a specific post. But then they REALLY don't care about intelligent discourse. They, like their cult leader Trump, simply want to disrupt.

I'm reminded of Ronald Reagan who once said; I didn't leave the democratic party, the party left me. Well I used to be a republican and a true conservative. A man of the right. I now say; I didn't leave conservatism and the republican party, they both left me. Yup, shortly after Dubya's first election win I knw the winds of the right we're blowing towards racism and racism so I completely jumped ship. Trump has merely accelerated the destruction of conservatism and the rethuglican party. I'm damn glad to be rid of its rank toxicity.

Happy New Year to you again as well Dave!

    2. Les... my grandfather made and lost his bones multiple times during his life. He lived the last chunk of his time as a proud member of the Florida GOP. He supported Nixon, Ford and Reagan in my lifetime. They were generally good men, believed in some fiscal sanity and didn't personally demonize their opponents, while calling us, as Americans to be better.

      They weren't perfect... admittedly.

But they would never recognize the GOP today.

What exactly does it stand for? Can anyone define that? It's not fiscal sanity, character, strong foreign policy, a balanced budget, bi-partisanship, nothing.

It's a shell of its former self.

I supported Ford in '76, Elder Bush in '88 and W in 2004. But today in good conscience, I can't imagine supporting anyone from the party.

    3. I find myself in exactly that same spot Dave. The republican party now stands for... convenience. It has retained zero ethics and zer ok principles of its former self.

It skates on the periphery of fascism and it fully embraces racism. I most definitely a party to vehemently oppose.

I voted for Ford, Reagan, and Bush the Elder because I felt they were decent honorable people who, while making mistakes, truly loved their country and acted in what they fully believed was in our nation's best interests.

Then came Dubya. A man who I believe THOUGHT he was acting in our nation best interests. He was wrong and having lived during the Vietnam fiasco should have known better. It's during his first 2 years I left the GOP for good.

Then we have Trump, America's equivalent to Putin or the Saudi Crown Prince. A man entirely void of ethics, morals, America's best interests, or love of Constitution or country.

In short, Trumpian conservatism and the present GOP can choke themselves to death for all I care. And the SOONER the BETTER!

    2. Not that the democratic left, especially the Bern and The Squad, don't exhibit some if the same offensive traits of the looney right. It's just the trumpian looney right is worse. Egregiously so.
