Is Our Democratic Republic At Risk From Forces Both Foreign and Within?...
We are moving this running post up to front page this evening where it will remain until January 3'rd 2017 when we will return to single posts, hopefully on a daily basis. There is much to do in getting the TRUTH out about Donald J Trump, a dishonest, totally self absorbed, and dangerous individual. He may be the president on January 20th but that does not mean thoughtful and concerned people shouldn't challenge Trump at every turn and fight his agenda whenever it runs contrary to their interests and those of their family. More to come. BTW, be sure to read today's entry, 12/28/16, below. this is just one example AND, it is just the beginning. You've probably noticed the brief posts of late. Posts with very short commentary by the weblolg administrator followed by an article that goes into the subject in much greater detail. This has been done purposefully following the rancorous 2016 election, and because its Christmas Time, soon to be a New Year. This posting f...
Cenk says trumpers are lunatics... yeah, I think that is an accurate description.
ReplyDeleteYup. I'd say he hit the nail squarely on its head.
DeleteAround Presidents Day we pause and reflect on the history of our great leaders. And we recall the
ReplyDeleteopening of Dicken's Tale of Two Cities: 'It was the best of times – it was the worst of times.'
It was the best of times when the first US president, George Washington confessed “I cannot tell a lie.” and towards the end of his life uttered, “still I hope I will always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles – the character of an honest man.”
It was the worst of times when the latest president, elected by a minority, was incabible of telling the truth..to the extent that if subjected to a lie detector it would self-destruct. He would accuse the lie
detector of fake news. His selected staff of groveling yes men would nod in admiration and the millions of his clueless minions would scream “lock the lie detector up!” He would boast “You will never guess where I got the idea for my Nurenburg Rallies” but some of us would know.
I wish the prolific and penetrating Dickens were still around to help us pause and reflect......
BB Idaho, in all of my 67 years I never, in my wildest imagination, ever imagined my country's people would put at the pinnacle of power a lying ignorant jackass. I certainly don't agree with the AOC or Bernie Sanders wings of the Democratic party, but, either of these democratic socialist bookends would be preferable to Donaldo the lying ass Trump.
DeleteUnfortunately his 30 something % supporters seem to be afflicted with the same intellectual mind eating virus that their hero is terminally suffering from.
A sad and dangerous day that we are presently living in.
Sorry for being off topic, but I just heard that dirty trickster and Trump BFF, Roger Stone, has been slapped with an all-encompassing gag order by the judge overseeing his case and who Stone placed, in a Tweet, a crosshair image next to her head. Stone has never been held to account for his slimey behavior until now. He can think about what's ahead for him while he's in jail. Good for Judge Berman-Jackson.
