The False Meme and Ignorance of the GOP and Trumpians...
Yes, black votes do matter. And, contrary to GOP beliefs black folks have their own minds. It's the people running conservative think tanks these days and the GOP SHEEPLE that apparently do not.
Only in US politics could one demographic group overwhelmingly support one candidate while mocking another group that overwhelmingly supports another candidate as being in lock step, owned and unthinking, while at the same time seeing themselves as discerning and voting for the person sure to rescue America.
ReplyDeleteThat so defines the American GOP, manyevangelicals, and conservative libertarians Dave. Their lack of objective reasoning and hypocrisy is become legendary.
DeleteIt is called psychological projection.
ReplyDeletePsychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others. For example, a person who is habitually intolerant may constantly accuse other people of being intolerant. It incorporates blame shifting.
According to some research, the projection of one's unconscious qualities onto others is a common process in everyday life.

Well Jerry, that certainly describes a Very Large number of Goopers. Thanks for providing the link.
DeleteI think Jerry is on to something that may create a good strategy in case the local DEm party sees fit to include me in campaign work again. Ethics be damned. We gotta fight back.
ReplyDeleteHey Joe, it's ben awhile. Nice of you to drop in.
DeleteEthics be damned. We gotta fight back.
Yeah, ignoring that ethics be damned thing pretty much keeps one on the outside and at least arms length, if not further. I know.
Today's politics sure ain't the politics of my youth. Them were the days!
TRUTH 101! Good to see you. Now all we need is for Tao to stop by...
ReplyDeleteI second that Dave!
