    In looking at the political carnage, IMO the press gave him a free pass . To
    the extent that my wife, who follows the news only intermittently, exclaimed "Why do they give him equal
    time and bend over backwards to be "fair' when they should call him out for what he is - a lying son of a
    bitch!" There go her Sunday School teacher credentials....

Bush made it's decision to invade Iraq ( using questionable justification it helped set up the scenario we see unfolding today. Ultimately the decision destabilized the region further, created more anti American sentiment in the region, and set up Iraq for civil strife and internal political instability. All for a cost of billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars, loss of American life, and loss of Iraqi life.
