Vice Presient Joe Biden... A Man Of Sincerity, Honesty, and Integrity

Rational Nation USA
Purveyor of Truth

After listening to the GOP/Tea Party 2016 presidential candidates essentially spend their time blowing smoke (or perhaps its gas; especially in the case of Trump, Huckabee, Cruz, and perhaps Carson), and listening to a damaged and in many people's opinion a dishonest HRC, a Biden candidacy is something many would welcome. He is an honest, sincere, and dedicated knowledgably public servant. A man who the record will show has served his country and its people well. This person has not voted for a democrat for president in over 30 years but if Vice President Biden decides to run there is better than a 55/45 chance he'll get my vote. The interview below has me hoping he decides to jump in and run like hell.

  1. I, too, like Biden and prefer him over Clinton.

    1. I think Biden could inspire trust and calm the nation. Something neither HRC or Trump would do. Biden is honorable.

    2. Biden supports the TPP. Hillary currently has no position, but I suspect she will support it. Bernie Sanders opposes it. In any case, I suspect Biden will not run. Hillary already has the big donors locked up and has raised massive amounts of money.

    3. I think Dervish Sanders is correct, or at least has a sound prediction. I looked at my first poll numbers after a couple of weeks, of seeing how (in my view) weak the Hillary campaign is, and how strong the #FreelTheBurn is going, at least in the media. And HRC is still way ahead of "Bern" in the polls.

    4. Dervish -- "Hillary already has the big donors locked up and has raised massive amounts of money. "

And there in a nutshell is the problem with our election system -- big donors!

    5. And yes, another hit out of the ballpark from Jerry.

I will give Biden another look.... I doubt I will vote for him, but I'll give him a fresh assessment regardless.

    6. Looks like you'll be voting Trump or 3'rd party then?

    7. Third party? Probably. but too early to tell. I'd vote Biden over Trump, I'm pretty sure. The "choice" if i were to make it between Trump and Hillary would be very close.

I do think though that a Biden vs Hillary fight would be vicious. hence my comment to Octo. At least from Hillary's side. I don't recall much about Biden's campaigning other than the Neil Kinnock problem of ages ago and some gaffes... none of which I recall seemed to indicate any particularly dirty campaign style on Biden's part.

    8. Jerry: And there in a nutshell is the problem with our election system -- big donors!

Of course. But these big donors have "free speech rights" to buy our elections according to the Supreme Court. Although, as a commenter on this board noted, opposing these "free speech rights" (simply for not liking that some people have too much money), is "fascistic".

Hillary has stated that she would appoint justices that would overturn Citizens United. I doubt very seriously that any Republican would.

  2. What sticks in my mind, to this day, was that we fell for it. We gave those psychotic scumbags everything they wanted.

    1. Psychotic scumbags? Jersey, such rhetoric is not constructive as it puts good people on the defensive immediately.

Conservatives lost their fiscal management credibility
under Bush and the Tes Party right libertarians have pretty much managed to lose the rest.

    3. Oh yeah; right. This post must have been about the 911 terrorists not Joe Biden. Silly me.

  3. There are two people sharing the same name, Joe Biden. One is the authentic and sincere Joe Biden with a high favorability rating who appeared on the Colbert Show. The other Joe Biden is what the real Joe Biden will become in the event he becomes declared candidate.

Once the real Joe Biden crosses a threshold and becomes a bona fide presidential candidate, the partisan “sneer-n-jeer” machine will take over and paint him in different terms. He will be called “a puppet of the Obama regime,” a “neo-fascist commie-librul,” a sell-out to the Ayatollahs, a Washington insider, an enemy of capitalism and freedom and the American way.

Sad, but this is what our political process has devolved into – manufactured defamation, character assassination, and demonization. And the "middle-finger" crowd will line up like tribal savages lusting for blood.

    1. This may be so, but real folks with functioning brain cells will know the real Joe Biden. Americans, real Americans are waking up or have already woken up to the BS machine that the Tea Party/ GOP has become.

Well know soon enough if Biden declares.

And that's just from the HRC campaign!

    3. Likely not dmarks but the neo con goon squad and the reactionary tea bag right will spare no false allegations, innuendos, and outright lies as they attempt successful character assassination of a decent and good man.

    4. They will feed off each other for sure.

    5. Bernie Sanders is running an exclusively positive campaign. He too is a man of sincerity, honesty, and integrity... as well as having political positions that align most closely with those of The People... which many of them would realize if they examined his policies instead of buying the "socialist" slur. Political ignorance being one of Bernie's biggest obstacles in winning the nomination.

  4. Let's remember that Biden was pretty bad in his two previous runs, even stealing a speech from a British PM... you can bet it will be brought up, as it should...

Goes to character. Really, stealing a speech?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Not sure if you are being sarcastic, Dave. The speech theft was a very long time ago. I think Biden's comment about Obama being a clean African American for once to be more disturbing and it is if course a lot more recent.

I think the less he does speeches, the better he comes off. Like with Rand Paul who can't get the name of the social security program correct when speaking it.

  6. All I'm saying is nothing will be off limits.. If I was the GOP, I'd be getting that ad ready...

Biden has been a terrible POTUS candidate... But the GOP has a huge electoral problem... And Biden might be able to cement the WH in a way Hillary might not be able to pull off..

But he still has some character issues...
