Rightwing Absurdity Continues To Grow...

Rational Nation USA

Pope = Christian, Catholic, Democratic Socialist.

His positions against intolerance, greed, polarization, lack of concern for the planets eco system, and income disparity does not threaten an enlightened capitalism. But capitalism continued on its present trajectory certainly poses a threat to itself.

Reading conservative commentary and listening to conservative rhetoric, as well as reading fringe rightwing weblogs that have been trashing Pope Francis for being, in their myopic view a Marxist and a commie, has convinced that there are indeed large numbers on the right who have lost their ability to think and reason. It is impossible for the thinking women and man to gasp the thought process of those folks because of the absurdity of it all.

Another reasoned commentary on this subject can be found HERE.

  1. More right wing absurdity:

"Our message is one of hope and aspiration," [JEB] Bush said. "It isn't one of division and get in line and we'll take care of you with free stuff. Our message is one that is uplifting -- that says you can achieve earned success. We're on your side."

Wow! Mr. Bush hopes to attract African-Americans by insulting them? What he implies by that statement is that the African-Americans who stay within the Democratic Party do so because they get "free stuff?" He doesn't qualify his absurd statement. One has to understand that he believes all African-Americans are "free stuff" grubbing moochers. And he obviously has no respect for their intelligence to see through his awful, stereotyping of an entire group of Americans! Just another example of why minorities are not attracted to that party. He and other extremists in his party see all A.A.s as the same, when that is as absurd as saying all young white males are mass murderers, or all white Christian southerners are KKK terrorist supporters.

The people running for the presidency who make these sweeping generalizations about racial and cultural groups continue to offend them; that's not how to attract new voters to one's ideology.

    1. Jeb is a dunderhead. He has no idea how his words play with minorities.

I will give Jeb the benefit of the doubt. He likely meant white folks who take "free stuff" as well.

  2. A seeming reprise of the 'Know Nothing Party' of some five generations back, except more ignorant than
    their dump forefathers.

    1. I do believe you are right. Many in today's TP (tea party) seem incapable of critical thinking and arriving at logical conclusions.

  3. More hypocritical nonsense from Brother Schlubb: A week ago, Catherine Rampell of the Washington Post posted this analysis of Brother Schlubb’s tax plan:

The Republican presidential candidate would make out like a bandit under his own plan. According to my quick-and-dirty, back-of-the-envelope calculations based on Bush’s 2013 tax return, his liability for that year would have fallen by about $800,000, or about a quarter of what he paid Uncle Sam.

In contrast, middle-class taxpayers receive only a token increase in family exemptions, a mere morsel compared to Brother Schlubb’s windfall. Smoke and mirrors, snake oil, and more deception …
