The Democratic Progressive Collectivists Have Set the Tone... the Opposition is Finally Responding

Liberty -vs- Tyranny

I can't quite recall when the democratic party (aka the progressive collectivist anti business party) has had their panties and pants in such a twisted knot over a republican party veep pick. Watching the lefties at work in the blogoshere since Paul Ryan was announced as Romney's pick two things are clear; 1) they are trying very hard to make the campaign about the veep, and 2) the lefties are really worried because they know Ryan is articulate, intelligent, and will blow not only Joe (Dufus) Biden clean out of the water in the VP debate, but will turn up the heat and keep Obama off balance as well.

Of course the reason the democrats are employing this technique is because their man has a dismal record to run on. By making Ryan the focus (along with his Randian leaning) they figure the misrepresentations and scare tactics they will employ against Ryan will insure Obama's dismal record will be off the radar, at least until the presidential debates. Anyone who spends a fair amount of time in liberal collectivist blogistan fully understands what I am saying.

Greg Sargent of the Washington Post is already talking about "the next frontier" in the liberal strategy to destroy the republican veep selection. Again to keep attention off the dismal failure that has been the Obama administration.

While I am not a Romney backer, having decided a long time ago to back Gary Johnson and the Libertarian ticket, since the press has given no attention to him, and will continue to do so, I think it appropriate to do everything possible in support of the visible campaign the Romney/Ryan ticket will wage pointing out the failures and hypocrisy of the Obama campaign.

Romney seems to be getting that he must go negative against the negative Obama and hit him hard, very hard. Having a big boy and big girl discussion about the Obama record in a way that engages Americans on a personal level is what needs to happen.

From THE HILL
Mitt Romney used a tough new campaign speech to personally blast the Obama campaign on Tuesday, saying comments earlier in the day from Vice President Biden are "what an angry and desperate presidency looks like."

"Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago," Romney said while campaigning in Ohio.

Romney was responding to Biden's suggestion that the GOP ticket's economic policies would “put y’all back in chains."

"His campaign and his surrogates have made wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the presidency. Another outrageous charge came a few hours ago in Virginia. And the White House sinks a little bit lower," Romney said.

"This is an election in which we should be talking about the path ahead, but you don't hear any answers coming from President Obama’s reelection campaign. That’s because he's intellectually exhausted, out of ideas and out of energy. And so his campaign has resorted to diversions and distractions, to demagoguing and defaming others. This is an old game in politics; what’s different this year is that the president is taking things to a new low."

The counter-punches mark a much tougher tone from Team Romney, who have criticized the Obama campaign before — particularly over a controversial ad by pro-Obama super-PAC Priorities USA Action that links Romney to a woman's death..."

Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul had the following to say;

“In case anyone was wondering just how low President Obama could go in his campaign for reelection, we now know he’s willing to say that Gov. Romney wants to put people back in chains," Saul said. "Whether it's accusing Mitt Romney of being a felon, having been responsible for a woman’s tragic death or now wanting to put people in chains, there’s no question that because of the president’s failed record he’s been reduced to a desperate campaign based on division and demonization.”

All that need be added is that when facing the type of campaign Obama is running his opposition, and I mean all the opposition, has no choice but to return fire. They had better bring out the heavy artillery as they are going to face a unmerciful and deceitful onslaught by the Team Obama.

It is going to be a very dirty campaign, and all the Presidents horses and all the Presidents men are responsible.

  1. Les,

Exactly what "progressive collectivist anti business" policies have the Obama administration instituted?

    I'd love to know.

What? A few big initiatives that helped millions of people? A couple of small failed initiatives that we learned from? Do we now hang every president who ever had a failed initiative? And let's face it, you'd prefer a president who has NO initiative! A figurehead! A man who runs from the only big things he ever did, and some of them were pretty good!

The irony is that the very forces Rand imagined would both be opposite and together. She couldn't deal with the dualism. The reality is that certain powerful forces on society have widely different opinions about pretty much everything. If dualism was too much for her, well then multism would be the same well to nowhere as everyone else sees her philosophy.

  2. Romney is finally swinging back, and I love it!

And he's doing it with a smile, not all angry and condescending like Obumbles.

    1. We shall see. I only wish the Libertarians and true conservatives that have had it with the neo-con and socon republican party, as well as the independents that have had it with both would see the value in Gary Johnson and vote Libertarian.

In reality nothing is really going to change with a Romney victory.

Oh, and maybe you could talk to jmj and tell him for me that it's not my job to educate him any further.
