 probably shame them, no?

Editor's Note: Will certainly has a point. Both these guys (in their chosen venues) serve to bring discourse to the lowest common denominator. The purpose? To divide, make a few million bucks, and laugh all the way to the bank.

    Maher has declared that 14 million Americans aren't actual people, and certainly deserve no rights as human beings, because they have a brain that is "retarded".


    Nothing Limbaugh has ever said can even come close to Maher's outrages.

    I know that Obama can't legally instruct his PAC to give back the money that Mr. Maher donated. But he certainly can suggest it. And, you know what else, dmarks, I think that it would help him in the long run, represent a sort of Sister Souljah moment for him. That, and it's only a million - peanuts by today's standards.

History has shown that societies with the most intrusive and leviathan governments are the least effective and restrict the liberties of individuals too the greatest degree. The classical liberals, whose philosophy of governance was anchored in the  Enlightenment  and The Age of Reason , believed in maximum liberty for the individual. They were wary of government, believing it was as much a force for evil as good. Classical Liberalism was about the individual, the rights of the individual, and the belief that the individual was not a vassal of the state, but rather should be the master of the state, limiting it's interference in the lives of the people.
