Oprah and Obama

Now here we have it. America's Oprah Winfrey kibitzing with, and showing her all important support for the President.

Seems she is "feeling" as though the President isn't getting the respect his shabby handling of both domestic and foreign affairs should warrant.

Oprah in her own words recently had this to say....

.... “show some level of respect.”


"I feel that everybody has a learning curve, and I feel that the reason why I was willing to step out for him was because I believed in his integrity and I believed in his heart"....


“I think everybody complaining ought to try it for once.”


She said the presidency is a position that “holds a sense of authority and governance over us all,” and that “even if you’re not in support of his policies, there needs to be a certain level of respect.”

Here's a news flash for ya Oprah. The President has bee in office for just over two years. His learning curve has ran its course. His policies have been lacking to say the least. He continually plays the apologist for American greatness.He has shown repeatedly shown a lack of support towards our Israeli allies {the only democracy in the Middle East}, and his mis handling of the Egyptian situation has been epic.

To those who think, rather than "feel", the man simply has failed to earn the respect of which you speak. Given his demonstrated tendencies and lack of Presidential bearing it is unlikely the President will ever gain the respect you "feel" he deserves.

I am sure at some point Oprah and others like her will be arguing that Obama has been a victim of some right wing plot to undermine his administration. Doesn't that seem to be how it is ultimately always played by the left.
