Our POTUS And His Attack On Free Speech
By: Les Carpenter III
Rational Nation USA
The POTUS in the following speech is making the feeble attempt to justify shutting down any dialogue that allows dissenting opinion critical of the power establishment in Washington. In this particular instance it would mean anything he does not agree with. This is a call for censorship and it is indeed is very dangerous. It is anti free speech, it is anti American, and the POTUS is deserving of being called on the carpet for his statements.
Pam Geller of Atlas Shrugs has a great analysis of this issue.

I read the speech, and what a defense of politburo statism it was. This man is dangerous. Big government has been discredited and they are now fighting for survival, for progressivism cannot survive without the power of the state behind it.
ReplyDeleteI broke this down pretty good over at my place:
Obama used his commencement speech at the University of Michigan to respond to foes who portray government as oppressive and tyrannical - and to warn that overheated language can signal extremists that "perhaps violence is ... justifiable." (AP News)
The Road to Tyranny is Paved with Good Intentions
If extremists are out there who think that "perhaps violence is justifiable," then the government is justified in taking a "strong hand" to "protect the people," right? See where this leads?
Calling tea partiers dangerous and racist is the pretext to shutting them down, or at least placing them beyond the pale of civil society. That is the agenda, paint them all (half the country!) as fringe kooks. Their crazy, dangerous ideas about some archaic document are just not worth listening to.
Keeping America safe for politburo-style statism!

ReplyDeleteIMO what we are experiencing with the current occupant of the White House is tantamount to every totalitarian minded official throughout history.
Your analysis of ObamaMao's speech is spot on!
Compromise is great in regards to the means to an end but don't ask me to compromise on my principles.
ReplyDeleteGriper - Great to see you back! And your comment is, as always, right on.
