Rationality, morality, rational self interest, proper ethical conduct, and the right to live ones life on these terms. Simple yet basic truths further enunciated in "This is John Galt Speaking" Part #8.

If individuals, and society could only come to understand that when reason and rational self interest is consistently practiced the world becomes a safer and certainly more prosperous reality.

George W. didn't get it, nor will Barry or the rest of the so called leaders of the world. Such has been the sober reality for the millennium. But this doesn't mean we should stop trying.

When the story first broke this classical liberal with libertarian leanings accepted, based on the early news reports, that George Zimmerman as guilty of a horrendous and unforgivable crime. However,as more information surfaced I began to question the veracity of the liberal contention that Zimmerman had in reality committed an act of first degree murder (my initial conclusion). I am laughing my proverbial arse off. After spending a fair amount of time on left,  or perhaps they would prefer the tag progressive leaning  blogs, reading the constant belittling, name calling, insulting and often vulgar characterizations of almost  anything they disagree with, which of course is everything conservative , I am not surprised to learn of a Anti Tea Party movement. Before going any further however I must be fair and balanced. There are a few lefties whose views and opinions are deserving of consideration and I would be amongst the first to advise everyone, including conservatives, to do so. Independent Conservatism

I have, for many years, considered myself to be an independent conservative . Asked by some just what that means I would reply it implies I believe in the radical political views held by the founding fathers. Men of enlightened thinking who personified  "The Age of Reason." There have been many occasions I have been brought to task for pointing to the wisdom of  such giants as Washington, Jefferson, Paine, Franklin... the list could go on but for a lack of time. The heart of  the argument used is these are ghosts from the grave and thus bear no relevancy to the present. Nothing could be further from the truth.
