Ayn Rand Monday - 11/9/09

Having just returned to my Freedom Post here at Rational Nation USA following surgery, I hope you will forgive the slow start. The added distraction of constant discomfort, combined with a script to ease the dull pain, has made my efforts today seem not only lengthy but somehow less productive.

Having got that out of the way here a few quotes from one of the finest minds of the 20th century.

Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one's values.

Rationality is the recognition of the fact that nothing can alter the truth and nothing can take precedence over that act of perceiving it.

That which you call your soul or spirit is your consciousness, and that which you call 'free will' is your mind's freedom to think or not, the only will you have, your only freedom, the choice that controls all the choices you make and determines your life and your character.

Todays Rand video;

As we approach the age of universal healthcare, the night of one world government, and the worship like desire for multiculturalism in our country, give thought to the narration from the first chapter of Ayn Rand's Anthem. For it is likely  the fate that awaits our Republic unless we reverse course.
