With Trump Already Below Water His Run Is Going To Start Rough...

Rational Nation USA
Purveyor of Truth

President elect Donald J. Trump is 5 days out from his inauguration and he "enjoys" the lowest transitional rating of any recent president elect. With just a 44% approval rating, 6% under water before he assumes the office, he is likely to have a very rough road ahead.

Obama - 83% approval rating
Bush - 61% approval rating
Clinton - 68% rating

Trump is so unliked by the majority of Americans he is even being compared to the Roman Emperor Caligula. We here at this weblog find the comparison quite apt in several ways.

Trump deserves every bit of criticism he receives and hopefully the ethical media and the American electorate will keep unbearable pressure on the man CHILD president when he takes over the reins from President Obama.

  1. As I wrote in my blogpost (which is linked to RN USA), all of his strutting, bragging, tweeting, and lying hasn't helped him. A majority of Americans and our allies dislike the man-child. And how did President-elect 44% kick of Civil Rights observation week beginning with MLK's holiday? By attacking John Lewis.

    1. Thanks for the link!

Trump is not liked. I just read Jennifer Holiday has withdrawn from performing at Trump's inauguration and American poets are protesting his inauguration holding readings etc in 90 cities. Poets in a few other countries are doing the same.

Trump has richly earned the disdain of the millions who despise him.

  2. Sadly, I'm not sure we can count on the media to resist Trump. He is good copy. Big money. Now Anderson Cooper is siding with the monster instead of Senator Lewis. NPR is and has been treating him like a hero probably since the last republican debate before the ugly truth began to dawn on all of us.

The media is complicit. Without their support and the free pass they so willingly give to Trump, he would not be president-elect now. They fawn over his every word like he was Kim Kardashian or JayZ. He is the best rock star they have. Every time I open my email, his ugly face is peering out of Yahoo News saying yet another meaningless and mean-spirited thing. It's not news. It's only copy. Apparently people are tuning it in and clicking on it. I don't understand it to save my life. But he is very definitely on to something very big and undeniable.

  3. Sadly you may be right Flying Junior.

I used the term "ethical media" because I still believe there are ethical journalists and ethical news outlets. FAUX News, Breitbart, Lucianne (so?), and World Net Daily are NOT legitimate or ethical news sources. They ARE among the sources that are truly fake news.

When all is said and done it is, at least in my opinion, the fault and the responsibility of the lazy American voter(s) that didn't bother to look into Trump's history, his true character, those he surrounds himself with, and the likelihood he will work to restrict and diminish our civil liberties and human rights.

For those who have bought the con and swallowed it hook line and sinker there is nothing that will change their mind. As for the rest of America? We the People have the power should we CHOOSE to exercise it.

Now there is 2018 and 2020.

  6. Given your fixation on assholes and "gags" we posit that you TOM are a frustrated closeted gay man. Come out of the closet and declare your sexual preference, you'll be much happier and less hateful.

Yes El Donaldo will be president in 5 days. And, we retain our right to continue to expose the con artist for what he is.

    4. Perhaps so, but, I note that SiteHoundSniffs.com has a rather diverse lineup of weblogs from quite conservative to quite liberal. As well as a broad range of interests.

I suspect the management does have a discerning eye. As well as nose.

  8. Leadership consists of many attributes. Insulting political opponents and political allies, disabled press
reporters, women, business leaders and especially foreign sovereign nations, are not among those attributes.
They are more typical of a schoolyard bully, a professional wrestler or fascist totalitarian and not the leader of the free world. These times are too interesting.

  9. Trump is apparently not concerned with protocols or common decency.

Indeed we do live in interesting times. Dangerous as well and Trump may increase the present danger level with his rhetoric and lack of judgment.

  10. Trump believes he's going to be a really, really terrific president and the best jobs president God ever created.

However, the American people at this moment do not believe him or his b.s. According to the latest Gallup poll, only 40% of the American people approve of him. 60% either dislike or don't care about him. When you spend most of your time insult-tweeting and making an ass of yourself in front of your country and the world, that tends to put people off.

The tragedy here is that Trump doesn't care and won't learn a thing from his weak and miserable approval ratings.

Most disliked president-elect in modern American history. Trump has certainly made history, eh?

  11. President Truman had a "dislike problem" or low approval rating as well. He is now considered one of our great presidents. Plain speaking ,The Bucks Stops Here Harry. Truman was a failed businessman yet became great president. Trump is a vaunted as a "successful" businessman... You take it from there

    1. A) When it comes to name calling, whining, and lying it is you TOM that stands at the top of that heap.

      B) As for being banned from weblogs like FreeThinke and others like it? Here's my response. ~BFD!~

      C) With respect to my followeers. 1) It's NOYFB, 2) I prefer fewer followers that are intelligent and thoughful than rather than a slew of bigoyed lying as*hats like yourself.

      D) If whining is what you call it, it is really speaking truth to power, then I'm glad to wear the badge that says "WHINER".

      E) As I noted before, it must be YOU are a closeted gay man because you have demonstrated a tremendous fixation on the subject of gays and as*holes. Get help TOM so you can be comfortable with who you are, rather than angry at the emtire world.
