In Honor Of A True Patriot... And All Those Who Gave Their Life To Defend Liberty

A regular reader of Rational Nation sent the following very moving tribute to an American Patriot. An individual who served his country honorably and in the end gave the ultimate sacrifice.

While the events portrayed occurred in 2006, it is never too late to acknowledge and honor those who made the commitment to defend liberty and the pursuit thereof.

Perhaps we should, as a result of watching the following, give serious consideration as to what cause(s) constitute a proper and just  reason to ask our young men and women to put their lives on the line to defend.

    We should all pause now and again to reflect on the American individuals that put their lives on the line every day. Both here at home as well as abroad.

We have some Americans in our population who have difficulty speaking a coherent sentence. We have many who cannot construct a complete and proper sentence. Yet we find the time and the money to educate youth in Arabic and Arabic culture. Mind you this is a Federal Grant program and limited to only five select school districts. At least for now. Then he made the following remarks that IMNHO told the nation in full agenda with respect to said issue. Having a in depth discussion of race relations might very well be appropriate and a general discussion is something that MOST American's would welcome. Using the Zimmerman verdict ks simply the WRONG event at possibly the right time.
