A regular reader of Rational Nation sent the following very moving tribute to an American Patriot. An individual who served his country honorably and in the end gave the ultimate sacrifice.

While the events portrayed occurred in 2006, it is never too late to acknowledge and honor those who made the commitment to defend liberty and the pursuit thereof.

Perhaps we should, as a result of watching the following, give serious consideration as to what cause(s) constitute a proper and just  reason to ask our young men and women to put their lives on the line to defend.

    We should all pause now and again to reflect on the American individuals that put their lives on the line every day. Both here at home as well as abroad.

Then he made the following remarks that IMNHO told the nation in full agenda with respect to said issue. Having a in depth discussion of race relations might very well be appropriate and a general discussion is something that MOST American's would welcome. Using the Zimmerman verdict ks simply the WRONG event at possibly the right time. Except for those receiving a subsidy or are getting it free. All that aside I do agree with following Moyers & Company article stating that ObamaCare is widening the gap between red America and blue America. Something needed to be done with our health care and insurance system. Most agree that the pre ObamaCare system needed some work.
